AquaFunded One Step Flex has a funded-only 1% floating-loss control called WaveStop. Its first strike reduces the reward share to 50%, its second to 25%, and its third closes the account. PFA verifies COMPARE for 25% off eligible AquaFunded Forex fees: a $10K One Step Flex base fee of $100 calculates to $75.

Why 12% static loss does not describe all the risk
The current One Step Flex evaluation targets 10%. New purchases from 31 August 2026 use 12% static overall drawdown; earlier accounts retain the previous 10% term. Both stages retain a 3% daily limit. WaveStop begins only when funded, where floating P&L reaching minus 1% of account balance starts the strike sequence. One Step Flex rules.
These controls answer different questions. Overall drawdown measures the account's loss against its starting floor. The daily limit restricts what happens within a day. WaveStop addresses open-position loss and can materially reduce the value of future eligible profit before either larger limit is reached.
A trader choosing Flex because a strategy historically stays within 12% peak-to-trough loss should also measure its ordinary adverse movement while positions remain open. A backtest can look comfortable on closed trades while showing much larger intratrade floating losses. That gap is especially important at the evaluation-to-funded transition.
Supported current fee examples
The official AquaFunded selector was inspected with CFDs → One Step → Flex, one account and no paid extras. It displayed regular fees of $60 at $5K and $100 at $10K. The separate public promotion displayed on the site is not stacked with COMPARE.
| Plan | Nominal size | Regular fee USD | Code | Discount | Savings USD | Calculated final USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| One Step Flex | $5,000 | $60.00 | COMPARE | 25% | $15.00 | $45.00 |
| One Step Flex | $10,000 | $100.00 | COMPARE | 25% | $25.00 | $75.00 |
These are purchase-fee calculations only. The quote excludes paid payout/share options, tax and payment conversion. Higher-size selector labels were rounded to whole dollars, so this guide does not turn them into unsupported exact-cent quotes. The table uses two sizes with clear supported base figures.
WaveStop reward math on a $10K example
For a fresh $10K funded balance, 1% is $100. Suppose a trader's position is $95 underwater and estimated additional closing costs or slippage could exceed $5. That is already uncomfortably close to a $100 reference. A planned stop-loss amount alone does not ensure the realized exit will stay clear of the threshold.
The official base share is 90%. Using a hypothetical $600 of fully eligible profit, the consequences are:
| Account state | Published share | Gross eligible profit | Illustrative trader reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| No WaveStop strike | 90% | $600 | $540 |
| After first strike | 50% | $600 | $300 |
| After second strike | 25% | $600 | $150 |
| Third strike | Account closes | Not a payable-profit assumption | No continuing account |
The table is arithmetic, not evidence of a real payout. It ignores separate payment deductions and assumes all other conditions are met. The drop from $540 to $300 is $240, much larger than the $25 purchase saving in this example. That comparison illustrates why a coupon should not dominate the account decision.
The second strike does not mean 25% of the original share
The published progression gives actual reward shares of 50% and then 25%. On $600, use $300 and $150. Do not multiply 90% by 50% and then halve it again unless a purchased agreement explicitly defines a different treatment. Optional share upgrades also need their own written strike terms; paying for an upgrade should not be assumed to make WaveStop disappear.
A daily-reset example separate from WaveStop
The official rule uses the higher of balance or equity at 00:00 UTC and subtracts 3% of that reference. Suppose closed balance is $10,300 and equity is $10,500 at reset. The daily reference is $10,500, the 3% amount is $315, and the next daily floor is $10,185.
If the floating gain then disappears and equity returns to $10,300, only $115 remains above that daily floor. The account may still show a profit against its original $10K, but much of the day's room has already gone. The fixed 12% overall floor for a qualifying new $10K purchase is $8,800; that lower boundary does not cancel the higher daily floor.
For a risk worksheet, record each active boundary separately and use the most restrictive one relevant to the next trade. Leaving more distance than estimated spread and execution costs is prudent; treating the published limit as a position-size target is not.
Funded readiness and the first reward
AquaFunded's model guide requires three funded qualifying days of at least 0.5% profit for the first request. The standard reward cycle is 14 days and the normal share is 90%; faster first reward and higher share are separate options. The evaluation's absence of a day minimum therefore does not describe first-reward eligibility.
On an unchanged $10K reference, 0.5% is $50. Three hypothetical qualifying days at $65, $55 and $80 contribute $200, but do not erase other losing days. Count qualifying days and total eligible profit independently. A day that qualifies numerically may still be reviewed for conduct under the purchased terms.
Before switching stages, ask yourself: would my usual open-position drawdown have triggered WaveStop, are my session boundaries aligned to UTC, and can I satisfy the day rule without token trades? If not, compare other models before paying.
How to apply COMPARE correctly
