Blue Guardian Futures News Trading: Evaluation vs Live Accounts

Blue Guardian Futures allows news trading on Standard, Reserve and Express challenge and simulated funded accounts. Its earned Live accounts prohibit news trading. Account stage is therefore the first check: an evaluation's permission must not be carried into a later Live account.

CFP: up to 45% off all Blue Guardian Futures account purchases. Verified on 12 October 2026 by Yash R.

Official rules reviewed: 10 October 2026. The purchase offer covers all account types and does not change news, drawdown, consistency or payout rules.

Why “news trading allowed” is not the same as low risk

Economic releases can produce fast price changes, thin displayed liquidity, slippage and rejected or delayed order actions. A prop rule may permit a trade while the trade still creates more loss than planned.

Standard and Express both use end-of-day trailing drawdown, but their size-specific loss allowances differ. The $25K Express evaluation has no daily loss limit; $25K Express funded has a $500 daily limit. A missing daily limit in evaluation does not remove maximum-loss or conduct restrictions. Confirm the active stage rather than carrying a screenshot of the evaluation rules into funded trading.

Build an event checklist

Before the session

  1. Identify scheduled high-impact releases affecting the contract.
  2. Confirm the timezone and daylight-saving status.
  3. Write down the current account stage.
  4. Check the latest firm rule page and dashboard notice.
  5. Calculate stop risk using a worse fill than the displayed price.
  6. Cancel stale working orders that should not survive the release.

During the event window

Avoid assuming a stop order guarantees the exact stop price. In fast markets, execution can occur at the next available price. A smaller contract size or no trade may be more consistent with a fixed loss budget.

After the release

Record entry time, exit time, contract, size, planned risk, realized result and any slippage. If the account is later promoted to Live, update the journal template so event trades are blocked rather than merely flagged.

Live promotion changes more than news access

The current Live Account page also lists:

  • a 90% trader profit share;
  • daily payouts with no payout caps;
  • end-of-day drawdown;
  • no daily loss limit;
  • no consistency requirement;
  • no hedging; and
  • a household restriction involving simulated accounts.

These terms illustrate why “same firm” does not mean “same rulebook.” Save the live terms at promotion and review them before the first live order.

Consistency applies at different stages

Standard funded accounts

The Standard rule page applies its 40% consistency condition to funded accounts. The page says a day equal to or greater than 40% of total payout-cycle profit keeps the payout option unavailable. A large permitted news-day gain can therefore affect payout timing. Standard's funded condition should not be relabeled as Express's rule.

Express evaluations

Express's 40% consistency requirement applies during the evaluation, with no funded consistency rule. The evaluation also requires the 6% target. A large news-day profit can meet the target while leaving the profit distribution ineligible to pass.

The Express page describes the boundary inconsistently: one line says the best day cannot exceed 40%, while the detailed example requires it to be below 40%. Its example has a $1,500 best day needing total profit above $3,750. Do not assume exactly 40% qualifies or import Reserve's separate cushion; confirm the dashboard's actual pass status and any boundary case with the firm.

Live accounts

Live has no consistency requirement, but its news-trading prohibition still applies. Removing one evaluation or funded condition does not preserve permission to trade a high-impact event.

All-account CFP offer and a current fee example

CFP is up to 45% off all Blue Guardian Futures account purchases. These Standard and Express Challenge / Tradovate rows are current price examples. Both allow news in the challenge and simulated funded stages, while their consistency rules apply at different stages. The offer also covers Reserve and Direct.

Standard Challenge / Tradovate$50,000$209.00CFPUp to 45%$94.05$114.95
Express Challenge / Tradovate$50,000$130.00CFPUp to 45%$58.50$71.50

Regular fees were checked on 10 October 2026 in the official checkout for Futures → Standard or Express → Challenge → Tradovate, as labeled, one account and an empty coupon field. The 45% columns are a maximum-discount calculation, not a guaranteed payable quote for every configuration: regular fee × 0.45 gives savings; regular fee × 0.55 gives the calculated fee. CFP applies across Standard, Reserve, Express and Direct account purchases; use the actual accepted discount and final total for the selected order. Do not stack it on another promotion. Separate data, optional extras, reset or reactivation fees, taxes, currency conversion and payment charges are excluded unless expressly included.

Purchase and trading checklist

  • Check the actual CFP reduction and final total before payment.
  • Identify the exact model and current stage.
  • Save the matching official rule page and issued terms.
  • Mark high-impact releases in the trading calendar with the correct timezone.
  • Plan for slippage; a permitted event trade may still exceed the intended loss.
  • Remove stale entries and inspect every copier destination separately.
  • Recheck news permission, consistency and position limits after each account transition.

The firm's current account-specific terms take priority when they change. Prop Firm Audit may earn an affiliate commission from qualifying purchases. Program fees can be lost; a coupon does not guarantee passing or payouts.
