When migration is possible

The current policy permits a platform-change request when:

  • No trades have been executed on the account.
  • The registered account holder submits the request.
  • Blue Guardian approves the request internally.
  • A newly issued account at phase progression has not yet traded.

Giveaway accounts cannot migrate under the stated policy.

Why the first trade matters

Platforms use different account systems, symbol conventions and infrastructure. After trading begins, positions and account history become tied to that platform environment.

Before the first order:

  1. Log in successfully.
  2. Confirm symbols and contract sizes.
  3. Check spreads and commission.
  4. Test chart time and session hours.
  5. Review stop and pending-order behavior.
  6. Confirm EA or copier compatibility.
  7. Request migration before any live evaluation trade if needed.

Do not place a small “test trade” if platform migration is still under consideration. It counts as trading activity.

MT5 considerations

MT5 provides a familiar Expert Advisor and indicator ecosystem. Blue Guardian permits EAs under its current restrictions, but third-party account management and copying another trader remain prohibited.

MT5 availability depends on region. US clients must use Match-Trader or TradeLocker under the current platform rule.

Match-Trader considerations

Match-Trader offers web-based access and is one of the current US options. Before starting, verify:

  • Symbol naming.
  • Lot increments.
  • Stop-distance behavior.
  • Mobile and browser access.
  • Economic-calendar time zone.
  • Supported copier workflow for same-owner accounts.

TradeLocker considerations

TradeLocker is also available to US clients. It integrates charting and order entry, but the trader should still validate symbol specifications and risk settings against the Blue Guardian dashboard.

A platform interface can display an estimated loss, while the firm’s dashboard determines account compliance.

Coupon and platform selection

  1. Select the Blue Guardian CFD program.
  2. Choose the account size and platform.
  3. Enter CFP.
  4. Confirm 25% off on the participating order.
  5. Check regional platform availability.
  6. Complete payment only after the correct platform appears.
  7. Do not trade until credentials and specifications are verified.

The coupon changes the purchase price, not platform rules, drawdown or payout conditions.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing MT5 as a US client.
  • Placing a test order before requesting migration.
  • Letting someone else submit the migration request.
  • Assuming a giveaway account can migrate.
  • Copying another trader’s activity.
  • Applying Blue Guardian Futures platform rules to a CFD account.
  • Ignoring different symbol specifications between platforms.

Bottom line

Choose the platform before placing the first trade. Blue Guardian’s current CFD policy supports MT5, Match-Trader and TradeLocker, but US clients are limited to Match-Trader and TradeLocker. Once trading activity begins, migration is no longer available.
