Quick answer
Funded Futures Family prohibits hedging between accounts under its fair-play policy. A portfolio with several accounts still has to satisfy that conduct rule. Netting one account's long position against another account's short position does not make the underlying account activity disappear.
Coupon code: COMPARE. PFA lists 80% off Velocity, 40% on Premier for the first five uses then 30%, and 30% on Prime. See the Funded Futures Family coupon page.

The account allowance and hedge rule are separate
The official trading-rule reference lists up to five active funded accounts per household across plans. It also prohibits hedging between accounts.
The official fair-play explanation addresses offsetting accounts and attempts to manipulate the payout or risk system.
| Question | Rule distinction |
|---|---|
| Can a household have several funded accounts? | A published combined account allowance exists |
| Does each plan create a fresh independent allowance? | The published cap is combined across plans |
| Can the accounts hedge one another? | The cross-account prohibition still applies |
| Does a coupon make a hedge permissible? | Purchase savings do not alter conduct rules |
A quantity allowance answers how many accounts can be active. It does not authorize every way those accounts might be traded.
A two-account example
Consider an invented portfolio in the same futures contract:
| Account | Open position | Quantity |
|---|---|---|
| A | Long | 2 contracts |
| B | Short | 2 contracts |
| Combined directional total | Netted arithmetic | 0 contracts |
The zero net total is only arithmetic. Each account still contains a position, bears its own costs and has its own account-level outcome.
The hedge is visible in the account activity even if a portfolio summary shows no net direction. Reviewing only the bottom row hides the information relevant to the firm's policy.
Changing quantity does not erase the pattern either. A two-contract long against a one-contract short has net one-contract long exposure, but still contains opposing account positions.
Review account direction before placing another order
Keep an account map that includes ID, plan, instrument, direction, filled quantity and pending entries. Update it when an order fills or a position changes.
A trader looking only at the currently selected account can miss an opposite position left open elsewhere. A delayed or rejected exit can also leave an unintended conflict in the portfolio.
Read actual position and order states after an interruption. Do not assume every account is flat because the last submitted command was intended to close them.
The purpose of the map is to describe account behavior clearly. It is not a substitute for the official policy or a method for avoiding review.
Fair play is different from ordinary diversification
Different instruments can have different market exposures, but that observation alone does not authorize a coordinated offsetting strategy between accounts.
If an intended multi-account workflow is unclear under the rule, describe the instruments, directions, timing and ownership to the firm's support before using it. A specific description is more useful than asking only whether hedging is allowed.
The official policy also addresses platform or pricing exploitation. A loss floor or a profitable account result does not establish compliance with the entire fair-play framework.
COMPARE discounts by plan
PFA's saved offer is plan-specific:
| Plan | Listed COMPARE rate | Base-fee calculation |
|---|---|---|
| Velocity | 80% | Regular base fee × 0.20 |
| Premier, first five uses | 40% | Regular base fee × 0.60 |
| Premier, later uses | 30% | Regular base fee × 0.70 |
| Prime | 30% | Regular base fee × 0.70 |
The official Velocity page lists $79 for $25K. Applying 80% gives $15.80 for the initial base payment, saving $63.20.
Select the plan and size, enter COMPARE and apply its plan-specific offer before payment. Keep recurring billing and add-ons separate from that initial calculation.
