FundedNext CFD Platform Switching: Rules, Fees and CFP
Code verified by Yash R on 1 November 2026.

FundedNext CFD platform changes must be addressed before the first executed trade. The official rules lock the platform after trading starts, exclude resets with previous trade history, and give U.S. clients Match-Trader access without a platform-switch option. A coupon reduces the accepted purchase fee; it does not reopen the platform choice.

This guide explains the decision before placing an order, the separate platform charge and the credentials to check after a change. It covers FundedNext CFDs. Tradovate and other Futures arrangements belong in the FundedNext Futures review.

When can a newly purchased account change platforms?

A newly purchased, untraded Challenge account is the situation described in FundedNext's platform-switch help policy. The page also says changes are unavailable in Challenge and FundedNext phases. Read alongside its newly purchased-account exception, no trading history should be treated as a necessary check, not automatic approval. Ask support to confirm the account's actual status before relying on a switch.

Account situationPublished positionPractical next step

Reset account with previous trading historyA reset does not restore switchingKeep the original history in the request
Later Challenge phase or FundedNext phaseExcluded by the detailed help policyDo not treat fresh credentials as a new purchase

A single small test trade still creates trading history. Check the platform name, account number and displayed balance through the account interface before using an order as a connection test.

Which platform restrictions matter before checkout?

Check country, account size and the selected platform together. The official CFD platform rules list these standard platform charges:

PlatformGlobal-client platform chargePoint to resolve before purchase
MT4No platform chargeConfirm the chosen account appears in the selector
MT5No platform chargeConfirm the assigned account and server
cTraderOne-time $25Check account-size restrictions and account access
Match-TraderOne-time $25 for global clientsU.S. clients have a separate fee exception

The platform-availability help page excludes $100,000 and $200,000 accounts from cTrader and Match-Trader purchases, modifications, resets and top-ups, with an exception for U.S. clients using Match-Trader. That exception should not be transferred to a non-U.S. order.

The current rules also identify Match-Trader as the supported choice for U.S. clients, including Puerto Rico and American Samoa. Review the dedicated U.S. client guide for that offering. Do not use a platform comparison intended for global clients as a U.S. purchase menu.

Does a platform change keep the same login details?

Use the replacement credentials supplied for the chosen platform. FundedNext's official platform setup guide explains that a permitted change produces new login credentials.

Keep these checks separate:

DetailWhat to matchCommon source of confusion
Trading account numberThe intended account in the FundedNext dashboardLogging into another account of the same size
Platform and terminalThe platform assigned to that purchaseOpening an old installation or saved session
Server or account environmentThe assignment in the new email or dashboardReusing a previous server selection
Account statusThe current stage and account identifierTreating an account toggle as a platform conversion

For MT5, the current desktop login instructions distinguish paid-account servers from the server used for trials and competitions. The account's own assignment is the useful reference, rather than choosing a familiar server name from memory.

Match-Trader's account toggle selects between accounts already attached to the login. It does not convert one account into a different trading platform. The official connection guide shows the web-terminal access process.

How does CFP affect the account fee and the $25 platform charge?

PFA lists CFP for up to 50% off selected Stellar 1-Step, 2-Step, Lite and Instant CFD purchases. The current CFP coupon record reports verification by Yash R on 1 November 2026. The actual reduction depends on the chosen purchase and accepted offer; the record does not establish a discount on the separate platform fee.

The official Stellar Lite page, checked on 28 October 2026, displays a $32.99 regular reference fee for the $5,000 account and a separate $29.99 public promotional price. The following examples apply one maximum-rate CFP reduction to $32.99, only when that rate is accepted for the offered configuration. They do not combine the public sale with CFP.

Account typeSizeRegular base feeCode and assumed accepted rateFinal base feeBase-fee savings
Stellar Lite$5,000$32.99CFP at the 50% maximum$16.50$16.49

The final base is rounded to the nearest cent, then savings equal the regular fee minus that final base.

Offered platform configurationCalculated base after CFPSeparate platform feeSubtotal before other order charges
MT4 or MT5$16.50$0.00$16.50
cTrader or Match-Trader for a global client$16.50$25.00$41.50

These are purchase-cost illustrations for configurations offered by the selector, not confirmed order quotes. Optional features, payment costs and taxes are outside the subtotal. A platform switch is also not shown here as a second full challenge purchase.

How should you request a platform change before trading?

Contact official support with the account identifier and requested destination, and wait for a clear response before placing an order. Use this short sequence:

  1. Open the account in the official FundedNext dashboard and confirm its model, size and stage.
  2. Check that no trade has been executed and identify whether the account has any reset history.
  3. Read the current country and size restrictions for the destination platform.
  4. Ask support whether this specific account can be changed, what charge applies and which account credentials will replace the current ones.
  5. Follow the confirmed process, then open the intended account using the new assignment.
  6. Match the account number, platform, server and balance before the first trade.

This checklist organizes the request. It does not create an approval route beyond FundedNext's published policy. If support and the purchase interface describe different conditions, resolve the exact account configuration before proceeding.

What if the replacement account does not connect?

Check account selection and credentials first. FundedNext's MT5 mobile guide directs users with login trouble to confirm the server, login ID and password against the dashboard or account email.

Do not keep submitting trades to diagnose a login issue. Record the error text, selected platform and account identifier for support. Avoid sharing passwords, authentication codes or identity documents in public screenshots.

The password-management policy prohibits sharing the master password and explains account-specific password handling. A password change, a new platform assignment and the selection of a different account are separate actions. Confirm which one has actually occurred.

What should you retain before the first order?

Keep a private record of the order receipt, platform selection, support response, assigned account number and accepted coupon calculation. Check that the intended account's trading rules are attached to that purchase.

For broader limits and account comparisons, use the FundedNext CFD review. The device and network guide addresses access from different devices, while the CFD chart-feed comparison explains why an analysis chart is a separate issue from the execution platform.

Official platform and pricing sources were reviewed on 28 October 2026. That source review is separate from PFA's recorded coupon verification. By Yash R. PFA may receive a referral commission through links or code use. FundedNext provides simulated trading accounts; the account size is not cash paid to the buyer.
