FundedNext Futures calculates its maximum-loss threshold from the highest recorded end-of-day balance and updates the floor at the start of the next trading day. Open profit during the session does not immediately raise an EOD floor, but a higher closing balance can reduce future room.

EOD drawdown in plain English
The provider records the account balance at the defined end of day. If that closing balance creates a new high, the maximum-loss floor can move upward for the following trading day.
A useful model is:
Next floor = highest qualifying EOD balance − plan maximum-loss amount
The dashboard controls the exact value. Commissions, fees and the provider’s balance definition can affect the result.
Flex 50K example
A Flex 50K account has a recorded $1,500 maximum loss.
| Trading day | Closing balance | Highest EOD balance | Illustrative floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start | $50,000 | $50,000 | $48,500 |
| Day 1 | $50,600 | $50,600 | $49,100 |
| Day 2 | $50,300 | $50,600 | $49,100 |
| Day 3 | $51,200 | $51,200 | $49,700 |
A lower close does not normally move the high-water reference backward. Once the floor rises, later losses do not restore the earlier cushion.
This table illustrates the stated method. Traders must use the live dashboard for the account’s actual threshold.
EOD versus intraday trailing
An intraday trailing drawdown can rise from real-time equity highs, including open profit. An EOD drawdown waits for the defined closing reference.
That difference matters when a winning open trade retraces before the close:
- Intraday trailing may raise the floor during the open gain.
- EOD trailing generally evaluates the qualifying closing balance.
- Both can still be breached by losses during the session.
“No daily loss limit” does not mean unlimited daily risk. The maximum-loss floor remains active.
Plan-specific implications
Flex
Flex has no separate daily loss limit, uses 40% challenge consistency and records no funded consistency. Current reward access is five days with a 95% share and size-based request caps.
Legacy
Legacy also has no daily loss limit. Its evaluation uses 40% consistency, while the funded stage records no consistency or buffer. The current share is 80%.
Rapid Pro and Rapid Daily
Rapid Pro has no separate daily limit but uses funded consistency. Rapid Daily adds a soft daily control and follows a different reward path. Do not transfer one Rapid model’s rule to the other.
Managing the floor
- Record the dashboard threshold before trading.
- Estimate worst-case stop loss plus fees and slippage.
- Leave unused space above the floor.
- Recheck after a new EOD high.
- Recalculate after every withdrawal.
- Do not use the nominal account label as risk capital.
- Save the current rules attached to the purchase.

Bottom line
FundedNext Futures EOD drawdown is path-dependent. A profitable close can raise the next day’s floor, while a later loss does not move it back down. Track the live threshold, not only the original maximum-loss amount.
