GOAT Funded Trader's funded minimum holding time depends on the original challenge purchase date. Challenges purchased before 6 October 2026 at 00:00 UTC retain a 120-second threshold. Purchases from that moment onward use 60 seconds. A later reset of an older challenge does not move it into the newer group.
Verified code: AUDIT, 50% off all GOAT Funded Trader Forex/CFD base fees. This is the CFD offer verified by Yash R., separate from GOAT Funded Futures. Current coupon conditions verified 12 October 2026. Official documents were checked 8 October 2026. No independent checkout or payout test is claimed.
Start with the original order, not the funded login date
The official minimum-holding-time policy, updated on 5 October, ties a funded account to the challenge purchase it came from. That makes the original receipt important even if the funded login is issued much later.
The rule applies to the funded stage, rather than evaluation accounts. It removes profit from positions closed sooner than the applicable minimum when a payout is requested. Losses remain, and the document says this holding-time adjustment alone is not an account breach. Other execution restrictions continue to apply independently.
| Illustrative account history | Applicable funded minimum |
|---|---|
| Challenge purchased 5 October, funded on 12 October | 120 seconds |
| Challenge purchased 6 October at 00:00 UTC or later | 60 seconds |
| Challenge purchased 1 October, reset on 8 October | 120 seconds |
| Challenge purchased 8 October, later passes evaluation | 60 seconds |
Use the timestamp and timezone on the purchase record. If the receipt uses local time and the classification is unclear, obtain confirmation for that account. A reset receipt, phase-change email or new password date should not replace the original purchase date in the ledger.
Compare the same execution under both versions
A 90-second position lies between the two thresholds. On a qualifying newer account it meets this duration test, while on an older account it does not. The difference comes from the account's rule version, not the symbol or the amount of profit.
Suppose a funded history contains three completed positions: a 45-second winner of $200, a 90-second winner of $300 and a 180-second loser of $100. The recorded net result is $400 before any other cost or adjustment. Under the two versions, this isolated duration calculation differs as follows.
| Illustrative result | 120-second version | 60-second version |
|---|---|---|
| Recorded net result | $400 | $400 |
| Winner profits excluded for duration | $500 | $200 |
| Result after duration adjustment only | Minus $100 | $200 |
The loser remains in both columns. This table does not apply profit-share, processing fees, news adjustments, daily caps or other conditions. It shows why subtracting only short-trade losses, or assuming short-trade wins and losses cancel for eligibility, would give the wrong picture.
Reconcile fills without inventing a timing exception
Store original purchase time, rule version, funded account ID, ticket number, entry time, exit time, duration and net result. Keep partial fills visible. If the platform's summary rounds to whole minutes, use the detailed execution history rather than assuming “one minute” proves at least 60 seconds.
The cited policy does not provide a comprehensive partial-close or timestamp-rounding formula. Ask GOAT to explain an ambiguous execution rather than choosing the interpretation that preserves the most profit. The same caution applies when a position opens and closes across different displayed timezones or when records have been exported with different settings.
Do not delay a risk-reducing exit solely to make a trade pass a timer. A stop that protects the account can be necessary even when a profitable short-duration exit will not be counted. The duration rule affects reward eligibility; the strategy still needs to respect daily and overall loss boundaries.
A valid duration does not approve every trading method
GOAT's prohibited-practices guide covers matters such as exploiting pricing errors, latency abuse, prohibited hedging, third-party strategies and martingale recovery. A position held for 61 seconds cannot be assumed compliant simply because it clears the newer timer.
The 2-Step Standard rules separately define funded profitable days, the profit share, daily eligible-profit cap and payout conditions. These are independent checks. Duration-eligible profit can still be affected by another rule, and a favourable duration calculation does not guarantee a payment.
For the broader reward structure, consult the PFA GOAT Funded Trader review alongside current official reward terms. Older summaries of a universal 120-second minimum should be read with the newer purchase-date rule explained here.
Understand what a reset changes
The official reset guide describes model- and phase-specific reset terms. A reset can be a paid account-restart operation, but the holding-time policy expressly retains the original purchase group for an older challenge.
Before paying for a reset, separate two questions: whether the restart is available and what its new charge is, and which rules remain attached to the original purchase. Do not assume a reset upgrades every policy to the latest new-purchase version. Keep both receipts so the history can be explained clearly.
Calculate AUDIT on the right purchase fee
The official CFD product selector supplies the following regular 2-Step Standard base prices. The verified 50% offer leaves 50% payable on an base fee.
| Account type | Account size | Regular base price (USD) | Coupon code | Discount | Savings (USD) | Final base price (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2-Step Standard CFD | $10,000 | $90.00 | AUDIT | 50% | $45.00 | $45.00 |
| 2-Step Standard CFD | $25,000 | $234.00 | AUDIT | 50% | $117.00 | $117.00 |
These are new-purchase calculations, not reset quotes. Add-ons, Pay Later charges, conversion, tax and payment fees require separate confirmation. Do not take a second 50% off an automatic sale price or apply the Futures offer to this CFD product.
Select the full account model, size and platform; read its purchase-date rules; enter AUDIT before payment; and check the accepted discount and complete order total. Save the original timestamp with the receipt. No fixed coupon expiry or stacking permission is confirmed.
The GOAT Funded Trader review provides wider context. Prop Firm Audit may receive affiliate commissions. These programs use simulated balances, fees may be lost and rewards require compliant performance. The practical takeaway is to preserve the original purchase history and calculate eligible profit ticket by ticket before relying on the platform's unadjusted total.
