Legion Funded News Orders + Coupon Code COMPARE

Verified code: COMPARE. Save 5% on the applicable Legion Funding base purchase fee. Coupon verified on 12 October 2026.

Code: COMPARE

Legion's funded news rule covers executions, not just manual button clicks: opening or closing an affected trade within five minutes either side of specified high-impact news is restricted. Pending orders, stop losses, take profits and partial exits can all matter. Evaluation permission does not carry over unchanged to a funded account.

Official sources checked: 6 October 2026. This guide is a funded-account execution checklist. It is separate from our weekend closure guide, which addresses session closure rather than economic releases.

Purchase fees and coupon calculation

Price review on 12 October 2026 confirmed only the $35 default 2-Step $5K fee on the official homepage. The $69 and $169 rows below are historical references, not current verified quotes; their discounted amounts are conditional illustrations and must not be treated as payable totals.

PlanAccount sizeRegular fee USDCodeDiscountSavings USDFinal base fee USD
2-Step$5,000$35.00COMPARE5%$1.75$33.25
2-Step$10,000$69.00COMPARE5%$3.45$65.55
2-Step$25,000$169.00COMPARE5%$8.45$160.55

Apply 5% once to the regular base fee. Optional upgrades, resets, taxes and payment charges are separate; no stacking or discount on an extra is assumed. See the current coupon terms.

The previously recorded trading-objectives fees provide historical examples. If a current order still quotes $169, applying COMPARE at 5% would give $160.55, saving $8.45. These are evaluation purchase prices, not payments that remove later funded news restrictions.

What the official restriction covers

Legion's news-trading policy applies to funded accounts and references high-impact events and speeches on its stated Forex Factory calendar source. It excludes medium- and low-impact releases from that specific rule. Trades on affected instruments cannot open or close during the five-minute window before and after the event.

The policy includes manual and automatic execution, full and partial exits, and stop-loss or take-profit triggers. Placing or modifying a pending instruction is different from it executing. Do not assume an order entered earlier receives an exemption when it triggers during the window.

Translate the event into the platform clock

For a hypothetical release scheduled at 14:00 in the calendar's selected timezone, the restricted interval spans 13:55 to 14:05 in that same timezone. This is a generic example, not a statement that a particular live event occurs then.

Record the calendar timezone, platform timezone and any daylight-saving difference. An event copied without its timezone is incomplete. Before each session, reconcile the displayed times rather than relying on the hour used for a previous release.

Build an event list with date, release name, currency, scheduled timestamp, impact and potentially affected instruments. The list is a planning aid; the firm's designated calendar and actual account rules remain the references.

Inspect orders as well as positions

A flat account can still contain an entry instruction that later executes. Conversely, an open position may contain several automated exits. Review both inventories before the restricted interval.

RecordQuestion to resolve before the window
Open positionCould any planned action fully or partly close it?
Pending entryCould it trigger during the restricted interval?
Stop lossDoes its execution count as a closure under the rule?
Take profitCould the target execute during the interval?
AutomationCan a strategy add, reverse or reduce exposure without another click?

This checklist does not advise removing protective stops and leaving exposure unprotected. If a trading setup cannot be managed safely and compliantly through the window, resolve exposure before the restriction begins rather than disabling controls to avoid a timestamp problem.

Two examples of execution timing

In the first example, an entry order is placed at 13:40 but fills at 13:58 around the hypothetical 14:00 release. Its early placement does not change its execution time. A trade-history record should show both timestamps so the event can be understood correctly.

In the second example, a position is already open and a partial take-profit exit executes at 14:02. The remaining quantity does not make that partial closure disappear. Record the filled quantity and time rather than labeling the whole position simply open through news.

These examples illustrate the published categories; they are not reports of firsthand Legion trades or an invitation to test the rule with a small order.

Passing the evaluation requires a funded-stage checklist

The current objectives page describes Two-Step targets of 8% then 5%, three qualifying days in each evaluation phase, and five in funded trading. News execution is a different condition from those profit and day requirements.

Prepare a new checklist when the account changes stage. Copying an evaluation routine without revisiting permissions can produce a compliance problem even when the trade would have been permitted earlier. Include the exact account identifier so the calendar review is tied to the funded account being operated.

There is also a separate source difference on holding duration: the objectives page uses an average two-minute description, while model help has used a different minimum. This article does not resolve that by assuming an early close is permitted. Check the issued agreement where duration and event timing interact.

Keep a concise evidence trail

For a questioned execution, gather the account identifier, event reference, relevant timezone, order creation time, fill time and quantity. Keep those details private and submit only what official support needs. A chart screenshot alone may omit the execution timestamp or pending-order history.

Do not infer that a profitable trade is acceptable because the account remains open immediately afterward. Rule reviews and account status can be separate events. Likewise, the coupon is a purchase saving, not an exception to the trading agreement.

A practical session ends with reconciliation: compare executed trades with the event list, then record any unresolved discrepancy before the next session. This provides a repeatable process without inventing a guaranteed outcome or a universal exception for automated orders.

Apply COMPARE to the selected account

  1. Open the official purchase selector linked above.
  2. Choose the exact market, model and size described in this guide.
  3. Read the issued rules, regional eligibility and separately priced options.
  4. Enter COMPARE before payment.
  5. Review the 5% base-fee reduction and the full order total.
  6. Retain the receipt and the account agreement for that configuration.
