Lucid Trading publishes a full rules library, plan-by-plan customization pages and a live-transition policy, which is the documentation this audit relies on. The funded account is simulated, as at almost every futures prop firm; the firm pays traders from its own funds based on simulated performance, and describes a progression to live-account structure after a series of approved payouts.
Account model audit
| Feature | LucidFlex | LucidPro | LucidDirect | LucidDaily |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Evaluation | Yes | Yes | No, straight to simulated funded | Yes |

Evaluation targets and maximum loss are the same across the evaluated models:
| Size | Profit target | Maximum loss | Maximum position |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $1,250 | $1,000 | 2 minis / 20 micros |
| $50K | $3,000 | $2,000 | 4 minis / 40 micros |
| $100K | $6,000 | $3,000 | 6 minis / 60 micros |
| $150K | $9,000 | $4,500 | 10 minis / 100 micros |
The target-to-drawdown ratio is 1.25 at $25K, 1.5 at $50K, 2.0 at $100K and $150K. Smaller accounts are proportionally easier to pass; larger accounts give more absolute loss room.
Fee audit with AUDIT applied
| Account | Regular | AUDIT discount | Calculated price |
|---|---|---|---|
| LucidDaily Intraday $25K | $79 | 30% | $55.30 |
| LucidDaily EOD $25K | $93 | 30% | $65.10 |
| LucidDaily Intraday $50K | $108 | 30% | $75.60 |
| LucidDaily EOD $50K | $136 | 30% | $95.20 |
| LucidDaily Intraday $100K | $179 | 30% | $125.30 |
| LucidDaily EOD $100K | $222 | 30% | $155.40 |
| LucidDaily Intraday $150K | $258 | 30% | $180.60 |
| LucidDaily EOD $150K | $315 | 30% | $220.50 |
| LucidFlex $50K | $136 | 30% | $95.20 |
| LucidPro $50K | $172 | 30% | $120.40 |
| LucidDirect $50K | $515 | 30% | $360.50 |
The no-daily-loss-limit option is a separate charge of $25–$60 depending on size and is not discounted. Round-trip commissions and exchange data fees apply during trading and are outside the coupon.
Audit finding: the cheapest route to a $50K simulated funded account is LucidDaily Intraday at $75.60, but it carries intraday drawdown and the news restriction once funded. LucidDirect at $360.50 removes the evaluation entirely but applies a 20% payout consistency rule that most discretionary traders find harder than passing an evaluation.
Drawdown audit: EOD vs intraday
End-of-day trailing drawdown (Flex, Pro, Direct) moves the loss threshold only from the highest qualifying closing balance. An open trade that runs $800 in profit and then closes at +$200 raises the threshold by $200, not $800.
Intraday trailing drawdown (funded LucidDaily) follows real-time equity. The same trade raises the threshold by $800 at its peak and the threshold does not come back down. On a $50K Daily account with a $2,000 allowance, a trade that peaks at +$1,500 and reverses to flat has consumed $1,500 of room permanently.
This is the single biggest behavioural difference between the models. Traders who let winners run without taking partials are structurally disadvantaged on LucidDaily.
LucidPro's optional daily loss limit is a soft breach: hitting it pauses trading until the next session rather than ending the account, provided the maximum loss is intact.
Payout audit by model
| Requirement | LucidFlex | LucidPro | LucidDirect | LucidDaily |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum request | $500 | $500 | $500 | $500 |
| Qualifying days | 5 profitable days per cycle | Cycle objective | Cycle objective | None |
| Consistency | None | Best day ≤ 40% of cycle profit | Best day ≤ 20% of cycle profit | None |
| Buffer | None | Max loss + $100 | Plan-specific | Max loss + $100 |
| Request cap | 50% of profit and size cap | Cycle rules | Cycle rules | Positive net profit since last payout |
| Split | 90% | 90% | 90% | 90% |
Worked example, LucidDirect $50K: a $1,000 best day requires $5,000 of total cycle profit before the 20% rule is satisfied. The same $1,000 day on LucidPro needs $2,500 of cycle profit. On LucidFlex or LucidDaily it needs nothing beyond the other objectives.
Rules that end accounts
- Positions must be closed by 4:45 p.m. ET and cannot be held over the weekend; holiday cutoffs can be earlier.
- Hedging with opposing positions across accounts or correlated instruments is prohibited.
- Micro-scalping review: more than 50% of profit from trades held five seconds or less.
- Platform exploitation and strategies that could not execute in live markets.
- LucidDaily funded: trading inside the one-minute window around restricted red-folder events is a hard breach.
- Automated strategies and copiers are allowed; the trader is responsible for every order they generate.
- Inactivity and deletion rules apply to dormant accounts.
Audit verdict
| Category | Score | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Transparency | Strong | Full rules library, customization pages, published targets and caps |
| Choice | Strong | Four models covering no-evaluation, no-consistency, EOD and daily-payout preferences |
| Pricing with AUDIT | Strong | $47.40 entry at $25K; 30% off every model |
| Payout friction | Mixed | $500 minimum and 20–40% consistency on Pro and Direct; Flex and Daily are lighter |
| Drawdown | Mixed | EOD on three models is trader-friendly; intraday on funded Daily is not |
| Holding flexibility | Weak | No overnight or weekend holding on any simulated account |
Lucid Trading suits: intraday futures traders who want to pick between EOD drawdown with no funded consistency (Flex), a direct-funded route (Direct) or daily payouts (Daily), and who close flat every session anyway.
Look elsewhere if: you swing-trade futures overnight, you need payouts under $500, or your edge is concentrated in a few large winning days and you want LucidPro or LucidDirect.
