Lucid Trading Platforms: CQG vs Rithmic Setup Checklist

Lucid Trading supports a broad futures-platform list through CQG and Rithmic connections, but not every interface works with every connection. The safest setup process is to choose the Lucid plan first, confirm the assigned data route, and then select a compatible platform.

Recorded Prop Firm Audit offer: use AUDIT for 40% off LucidDaily and 30% off LucidFlex, LucidPro and LucidDirect.

Verified on 12 October 2026. Verified code: AUDIT.

Supported-platform overview

The Prop Firm Audit firm record lists:

  • NinjaTrader
  • Tradovate
  • TradingView
  • Quantower
  • Sierra Chart
  • Bookmap
  • Jigsaw
  • ATAS
  • MotiveWave
  • Tradesea
  • R Trader Pro
  • MultiCharts

Availability depends on the account and connection. Lucid's official supported-platforms guide should be checked before ordering and again when credentials are issued.

CQG and Rithmic are connection routes

CQG and Rithmic supply market-data and order-routing connectivity used by compatible trading platforms. The charting interface and the connection are separate choices.

DecisionQuestion to answer
Lucid planFlex, Pro, Direct or Daily?
ConnectionCQG or Rithmic for this account?
PlatformDoes the interface support the assigned connection?
DataAre the required futures exchanges enabled?
OrdersAre brackets, OCO and flatten controls supported?
DevicesCan the trader monitor and close positions reliably?

Do not purchase a third-party platform license until compatibility with the issued credentials is confirmed.

When CQG may fit

CQG-based access is commonly associated with interfaces such as Tradovate and supported TradingView connections. It can suit traders who prefer browser-based or integrated chart trading.

The exact available combination must come from Lucid because product access can differ by account configuration.

When Rithmic may fit

Rithmic connections are often used with professional futures interfaces, including R Trader Pro and supported order-flow platforms. Traders using third-party software should check:

  • login type;
  • market-data agreements;
  • exchange permissions;
  • connection limits;
  • whether simultaneous logins are allowed;
  • whether a required gateway or plugin must remain open.

A platform supporting Rithmic generally does not prove that every Lucid credential can be used with it.

Test the full order workflow

Before the first live session

  1. Install only the supported software.
  2. Confirm the correct account is selected.
  3. Check contract month and symbol mapping.
  4. Submit and cancel a small test order where permitted.
  5. Verify stop-loss and target behavior.
  6. Test the flatten command.
  7. Confirm the platform clock and Lucid cutoff time.
  8. Check that positions match in every connected view.

After reconnecting

A network interruption can leave the local chart out of sync with the server. Reopen the positions and orders panels, verify working orders, and use the firm's official status source rather than relying on a chart marker.

Trade copier and automation considerations

Lucid Trading's recorded rules permit genuine automation and trade copiers, but the trader remains responsible for errors. A copier can create mismatched quantities when:

  • one account rejects an order;
  • accounts have different contract limits;
  • a partial fill occurs;
  • symbols map differently;
  • one connection drops;
  • a stop modification fails.

Test account-by-account and retain a manual emergency-close method. Permission to use a copier does not raise account limits or remove plan rules.

The plan still controls risk

Changing platform does not change:

  • maximum drawdown;
  • daily-loss treatment;
  • payout consistency;
  • required profit days;
  • news restrictions;
  • position limits;
  • flat-time rules.

LucidDaily, for example, has different news restrictions from Flex, Pro and Direct. The trading interface cannot override them.

AUDIT discount by plan

Lucid planRecorded discount
LucidDailyAUDIT — 40% off
LucidFlexAUDIT — 30% off
LucidProAUDIT — 30% off

Select the plan before applying AUDIT. Confirm that checkout uses the percentage attached to that plan and review whether platform, data or third-party licensing costs are separate.

Platform-selection checklist

Strategy fit

  • DOM, chart or order-flow execution?
  • Manual trading, copier or automation?
  • Desktop-only or browser access?
  • Need for footprint, heatmap or depth tools?

Operational fit

  • Correct CQG or Rithmic support?
  • Stable connection and backup access?
  • Required exchange data?
  • Clear flatten and cancel-all controls?
  • Costs understood before purchase?

Bottom line

Choose a Lucid platform only after confirming the plan's CQG or Rithmic configuration. Test orders, brackets, reconnect behavior and emergency controls before normal trading. Use AUDIT for 40% off LucidDaily or 30% off Flex, Pro and Direct, and verify the exact checkout total.
