Code: AUDIT
MyFundedPerps resets its daily-loss reference at midnight New York time, using equity including open profit or loss. The dollar allowance remains 3% of the original starting balance. A profitable open position at reset can therefore lift the next daily floor even if that profit is never closed.
Official sources checked: 6 October 2026. This guide explains daily reference changes. It is different from our first-payout buffer guide, which covers the permanent overall-floor change at withdrawal.
Purchase fees and coupon calculation
| Plan | Account size | Regular fee USD | Code | Discount | Savings USD | Final base fee USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Prime | $10,000 | $60.00 | AUDIT | 30% | $18.00 | $42.00 |
| Prime | $25,000 | $160.00 | AUDIT | 30% | $48.00 | $112.00 |
| Prime | $50,000 | $300.00 | AUDIT | 30% | $90.00 | $210.00 |
Apply 30% once to the regular base fee. Optional upgrades, resets, taxes and payment charges are separate; no stacking or discount on an extra is assumed. See the current coupon terms.
The official pricing matrix supplies the regular fees for standard 80% split accounts. The $25K Prime base fee is $160; AUDIT saves $48, leaving $112. Trading commissions, hourly swaps and optional packages are separate from this base calculation.
Start with the right formula
The current challenge documentation defines the daily allowance as 3% of starting balance and the reference as start-of-day equity. These are different inputs. On an original $25,000 account, the allowance is $750 even if the account later grows.
A simple daily worksheet is: reference equity minus $750 equals the daily floor. The floor is inclusive under the published rule: reaching it is a breach, not a permitted resting balance. Do not plan an exit exactly on it.
Open profit can change tomorrow's reference
Consider an illustrative $25K account with a closed balance of $25,000 and an open gain of $400 at the New York reset. Reference equity is $25,400, so the new daily floor is $24,650.
If the open gain subsequently disappears and equity returns to $25,000, $400 of that day's $750 allowance has already been consumed. Only $350 remains before the daily boundary, even though the closed balance still equals the original $25,000.
| Snapshot | Equity | Daily floor | Distance above floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| At reset with open gain | $25,400 | $24,650 | $750 |
| Gain retraces to zero | $25,000 | $24,650 | $350 |
| Further $200 loss | $24,800 | $24,650 | $150 |
These are simplified calculations without added charges. They are not a recommendation to carry a position through reset. Their purpose is to explain why a realized-P&L-only journal can fail to explain a daily-loss warning.
Open loss creates a different-looking record
Now consider a separate hypothetical day starting with equity of $24,800 on the same original account. The 3% allowance is still $750, producing a daily reference floor of $24,050. It is not 3% of $24,800.
That does not mean the trader has permission to lose $750. The separate maximum-loss floor may sit above $24,050 and become binding first. Record both boundaries, then inspect the tighter one. The daily reset never restores the overall allowance or reverses a prior failure.
Do not deliberately manipulate an open position around the clock to seek a favorable reference. The useful response is transparent recordkeeping and controlled exposure, not trying to exploit a reset mechanism.
New York midnight is not one fixed UTC time
The official rules use America/New_York, including daylight saving. Midnight corresponds to 04:00 UTC during EDT and 05:00 UTC during EST. For an IST-based journal those are 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM respectively.
Set a timezone-aware calendar reference rather than permanently typing one UTC alarm. Save the session's actual reset timestamp and the dashboard equity snapshot. When a broker history display uses another timezone, convert the event into the firm's day before categorizing it.
A position opened on one local calendar day can cross several relevant boundaries. The ledger should attach a New York session date to every record while retaining the original execution timestamp for reconciliation.
Trading costs also use room
The official rules explanation notes that commissions and swap charges reduce balance and therefore loss headroom. A $150 distance in the example is not a $150 cost-free allowance for price movement.
For rate details, see our commission and swap guide and the firm's current fee explanation. Keep trading-cost entries separate from the purchase discount. AUDIT reduces the challenge fee; it does not reduce a losing trade or an hourly financing debit.
A useful daily reconciliation
Before the reset, record balance, open P&L, equity and both current loss references. After the reset, compare the new daily floor with the formula and leave the overall floor in its own column. If the number differs, capture the relevant charges and timestamps before contacting support.
During trading, use live equity rather than waiting for every trade to close. A later recovery cannot undo an earlier breach. Stops also involve execution conditions; an intended exit price is not a guarantee that equity will remain above a boundary.
This process turns a confusing warning into a traceable calculation. It does not predict performance, remove rule restrictions or imply that a fee discount makes the trading risk smaller.
