The5ers Futures permits trading around economic news, provided the account’s risk and trading rules are followed. Permission does not remove execution uncertainty or make a release suitable for every strategy. Verified code: AUDIT is PFA’s owner-attested 10% offer on eligible futures base purchases, separate from The5ers’ Forex/CFD programs.

Confirm the policy belongs to Futures
The official futures news FAQ states that economic-release trading is allowed while all account and risk requirements remain in force. Use that futures-specific policy rather than importing a restriction from High Stakes, Bootcamp or another CFD program.
Write the exact program name in the session plan. Day Trade and Swing permissions also need to be considered separately when a position could reach the market close or maintenance period. News permission alone does not grant overnight or weekend permission.
For the surrounding schedule, the main Futures program page describes the relevant styles and general close requirement. Official time displays can be inconsistent, so confirm the exact cutoff for the actual contract and issued account before relying on it. This guide does not resolve that uncertainty by inventing a universal clock time.
Prepare the event, contract and clock
Record the release name, scheduled time, timezone, exact traded contract and the platform’s clock. A calendar displayed in your local timezone may not match the platform or exchange timezone, particularly around seasonal clock changes. Confirm the conversion for the event date instead of reusing a memorized offset.
A release can be rescheduled, corrected or followed by another related announcement. Check the official event source and the calendar again before trading. Do not treat a third-party calendar entry as a promise that volatility will begin and end at an exact second.
| Pre-event field | Useful entry |
|---|---|
| Account | Exact Futures program, stage and ID |
| Contract | Symbol and expiry actually used for orders |
| Event | Official release and expected time |
| Clock | Platform timezone and verified local conversion |
| Risk state | Current equity, enforced floor and remaining room |
| Orders | Open positions, pending entries and protective exits |
| Decision | Trade, reduce activity or remain flat under your own plan |
This is a preparation template, not a set of additional firm requirements. Its purpose is to prevent an avoidable account or timing mix-up.
Translate the planned trade into dollars
A useful risk estimate combines stop distance, tick value and quantity, then adds transaction costs and an explicitly labelled execution allowance. Use the contract specification for the actual symbol. A similarly named micro and standard contract should not be assumed to have the same tick value.
For a hypothetical contract with a $1.25 tick value, twelve ticks of planned risk on four contracts equals $60 before charges. If the relevant round-trip commission is $5 per contract, that adds $20. The resulting $80 is still only a planned figure: a stop can execute at a worse price in fast conditions.
Do not compare that $80 with the nominal $25,000 account label and conclude it is insignificant. The relevant comparison is with the actual remaining loss allowance and any other account restrictions. A purchase discount belongs in a separate cash-fee budget.
Account for both sides of commission
The official futures commission FAQ lists $5 per side for most standard contracts and $2.50 per side for the micro category it describes. Check the exact symbol and current platform schedule, especially for products that do not fit an ordinary label.
| Published charging category | Per side | One-contract round trip | Four-contract round trip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Most standard contracts | $5.00 | $10.00 | $40.00 |
| Published micro category | $2.50 | $5.00 | $20.00 |
These USD examples assume an equal-size entry and exit. They do not include slippage or other adjustments. The table is a cost calculation, not a recommendation to trade four contracts or to prefer one product.
Repeated entries can multiply these costs. Record gross results and commission separately so a small gross gain does not become an unexpectedly small net result. Partial exits should be reconciled by filled quantity, not simply by counting visible order tickets.
Inspect pending orders before volatility arrives
Review all working entries and exits on the correct account. An old stop-entry order can trigger after the trader has mentally decided not to participate. An exit order associated with a position that has already closed may also need attention, depending on the platform’s order handling.
Confirm actual order status after a cancellation. A click, a local notification and an acknowledged cancellation are not necessarily the same evidence. If the platform connection is uncertain, use the supported status and support process instead of repeatedly submitting duplicate orders.
Do not remove protective exits while leaving an unmanaged position merely to simplify the screen. The objective is a coherent plan for the remaining exposure. If that cannot be established confidently, choosing not to initiate another trade is a valid outcome of the checklist.
Review the result after the release
Reconcile entry and exit fills, timestamps, quantity, commissions and the resulting account equity. Compare the planned risk with the actual result without rewriting the original plan afterward. A profitable outcome does not prove the process was safe, just as a loss does not by itself establish a platform error.
The futures program uses its own consistency and reward rules. One unusually large event trade can affect those calculations even when news trading is permitted. The per-trade consistency guide explains that separate issue.
Retain evidence if the platform or account record differs from expectations, and ask official support about the precise event. Include the account reference and order IDs; avoid submitting an accusation or a guessed explanation as if it were established fact.
Initial-fee calculation with AUDIT
The current official Futures selector exposes a $25K base row at $59. The table applies the recorded 10% rate to that row only; other styles, sizes and options must use their own displayed current fee.
| Plan | Size | Regular base fee | Code | Reduction | Savings | Calculated base payment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Published Futures base row | $25K | $59.00 | AUDIT | 10% | $5.90 | $53.10 |
The $5.90 saving does not cover trading commissions, resets or separate options. No stacking, guaranteed refund or fixed expiry is assumed.
