Instant Funding Review
Instant Funding offers direct simulated accounts and evaluation products. Its flagship Clarity account removes a daily loss limit but uses a two-stage “Smart Drawdown” mechanism that must be understood before trading.
Instant Funding model comparison
| Model | Target | Daily loss | Maximum loss | Payout access |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Clarity | None | None | Smart Drawdown: 10% initially, then 5% fixed after milestone | On-demand when eligible |
| IF Micro | None | About 4% | About 6% | On-demand subject to conditions |
| One-Phase | Evaluation target applies | Product-specific | Product-specific | First wait, then faster cycle may apply |
Parameters can vary by account generation and add-on, so dashboard terms should be saved.
Smart Drawdown explained
Clarity starts with a total-loss floor 10% below the initial balance. When the account reaches the firm's defined 5% gain trigger, the floor moves upward to 5% below starting balance and then becomes static. That transition can surprise traders who assumed they would retain the entire original cushion.
The absence of a daily loss limit permits flexible day-to-day volatility, but it does not make a large position safe. Equity, floating loss and trading costs can still cross the total floor intraday.
Payout-on-demand rules
Instant Funding markets on-demand withdrawals for eligible accounts. The help material still requires conditions such as a minimum profit percentage, minimum cash amount and compliant trading record. Some plans use a first-payout wait before a faster cycle. Profit share usually begins around 80% and can reach 90% on eligible configurations.
News, EAs and prohibited activity
Personal EAs may be accepted, but news permissions depend on the account and may require a paid option. Platform-delay exploitation, account sharing, unauthorised copying, cross-account hedging and strategies that generate artificial fills are prohibited. A permitted news trade is still exposed to spread expansion and slippage.
Advantages
- Clarity has no evaluation target and no daily loss cap.
- Smart Drawdown becomes static after the transition.
- Multiple direct and evaluation choices.
- On-demand reward access can be quicker than fixed biweekly windows.
- Scaling is advertised for successful, consistent accounts.
Disadvantages
- The Smart Drawdown transition reduces the original cushion.
- “Instant” and “on-demand” can be misunderstood as guaranteed immediate cash.
- News access varies by add-on.
- Multiple account generations make old reviews unreliable.
Verdict
Clarity is genuinely different from a standard challenge and can suit traders whose daily volatility is uneven. The key is to plan risk for the later 5% floor from day one rather than treating the initial 10% allowance as permanent.

Audit Points
- 1Clarity is not a conventional fixed 10% drawdown. Smart Drawdown begins with a 10% cushion and moves to a 5% floor after the account reaches the stated gain threshold.
- 2No daily loss on Clarity does not mean unlimited risk. The total Smart Drawdown remains a hard equity constraint.
- 3On-demand payout has thresholds. Minimum profit, amount and compliance rules still apply.
- 4News trading can require a specific add-on or remain restricted by model.
