Alpha Capital Rules Explained: COMPARE50 and COMPARE Offers

Alpha Capital rules depend on the account model and stage. Alpha Pro and Swing use static overall drawdown; Alpha One and Direct use trailing drawdown. News restrictions, daily loss calculations, lot limits and payout conditions must also match the exact plan.

For the purchase fee, use COMPARE50 for 50% off a first purchase, or COMPARE for 30% off later purchases. This guide explains the rules and compares both offers with detailed fee and savings tables.

By Yash R. Official rule sources reviewed on 25 October 2026. The published price schedule used below is dated 21 September 2026; coupon verification and price-source dates are separate.

What are the main Alpha Capital rules?

The main requirements are the profit target, daily equity floor, overall loss floor and minimum trading days for the selected model. Passing also requires compliance with trading restrictions and the account review.

Account modelEvaluation phases and targetsOverall maximum lossDaily loss limitMinimum evaluation trading days
Alpha Pro 6%2 phases: 6%, then 6%6% static3%3 per phase
Alpha Pro 8%2 phases: 8%, then 5%8% static4%3 per phase
Alpha Pro 10%2 phases: 10%, then 5%10% static5%3 per phase
Alpha One 10%1 phase: 10%6% trailing4%1
Alpha Swing2 phases: 10%, then 5%10% static5%3 per phase
Alpha DirectNo evaluation; Qualified from purchase5% trailing3%No evaluation requirement

Sources: Pro 6%, Pro 8%/10%, One, Swing and Direct. All account balances are simulated funds.

Are all documented variants available for a new purchase?

No. A help-centre rule page can remain online after a variant leaves the purchase menu. Alpha's published pricing update identifies One 10% as the current One purchase option; older One 6% and 12% accounts retain their original terms. Alpha Three is described as a legacy plan in the official rules overview.

Reference planTargetsOverall lossDaily limitMinimum days
One 6%6% in one phase4% trailing3% evaluation; 4% Qualified1
One 12%12% in one phase8% trailing5%1
Alpha Three, legacy8%, then 4%, then 4%6% static4%3 per phase

The Pro 10% rules remain documented, but this article does not promise its availability or extend PFA's recorded coupon coverage to it. Check the actual purchase selector before choosing any variant.

How does Alpha Capital calculate daily drawdown?

Alpha Capital calculates the daily floor at 00:00 GMT+3 broker time. Pro 8%, Pro 10% and Swing use the opening daily balance. Pro 6%, One and Direct use the higher of balance or equity at that reset.

The floor is the relevant reset value multiplied by one minus the daily loss percentage. A breach is assessed against current equity, including open losses. Daily risk is therefore not simply an allowance for closed losing trades.

Example at the daily resetReference valueDaily percentageCalculated equity floor
Pro 8%: balance $100,000; equity $101,000$100,000 balance4%$96,000
One 10%: balance $100,000; equity $101,000$101,000 equity4%$96,960
Pro 6%: balance $100,000; equity $99,000$100,000 balance3%$97,000

The examples show why floating profit at reset can raise the next day's floor on an equity-based model. Follow the official daily risk calculation and the dashboard's active limit.

What is the difference between static and trailing maximum loss?

A static floor stays anchored to the initial balance. A trailing floor rises with the highest closed account balance until it reaches the initial balance, where Alpha's published One and Direct examples lock it.

$100,000 account exampleInitial overall floorFloor after highest closed balance reaches $102,000Lock point
Pro 8%, 8% static$92,000$92,000Floor already fixed
Swing, 10% static$90,000$90,000Floor already fixed
One 10%, 6% trailing$94,000$96,000$100,000 floor at a $106,000 high-water mark
Direct, 5% trailing$95,000$97,000$100,000 floor at a $105,000 high-water mark

These are calculations from the official maximum total loss rules. The daily floor and overall floor apply together; maintaining one does not excuse breaching the other.

Can a payout leave an Alpha One account without trading room?

Yes. Once One's trailing floor has locked at the starting balance, withdrawing all profits results in account closure under the One payout notice. Leave a suitable profit buffer if you intend to keep trading. A withdrawal does not reset the high-water-mark floor.

What is the maximum risk per asset on a Qualified account?

The published per-asset limit is 3% on $5K–$25K Qualified accounts, 2% on $50K–$200K Qualified accounts, and 1% on every Alpha Direct size. It applies to accounts purchased after the 21 July 2026 announcement; the official article exempts accounts acquired before that date.

Qualified account sizeStandard plan per-asset limitDollar thresholdAlpha Direct per-asset limitDirect dollar threshold
$5,0003%$1501%$50
$10,0003%$3001%$100
$25,0003%$7501%$250
$50,0002%$1,0001%$500
$100,0002%$2,0001%$1,000
$200,0002%$4,0001%$2,000

Losing open positions on the same asset are combined; winning positions do not offset them. Closing and reopening the same asset in the same direction within 10 minutes also combines losses. Reaching the threshold closes the account. This is additional to daily and overall drawdown. See the Max Risk Rule.

Can I trade news and hold positions over the weekend?

News trading is unrestricted during evaluation under the dedicated news policy. Qualified Pro, One, Three and Direct accounts cannot open or close affected instruments during the five minutes before and five minutes after specified announcements.

PlanEvaluation newsQualified newsEvaluation weekend holdQualified weekend hold
Alpha ProUnrestricted by the news windowNo execution within 5 minutes either sideAllowedNot allowed
Alpha OneUnrestricted by the news windowNo execution within 5 minutes either sideAllowedAllowed
Alpha SwingNews trades permitted, subject to its duration ruleNews trades permitted, subject to its duration ruleAllowedAllowed
Alpha DirectNo evaluationNo execution within 5 minutes either sideNo evaluationNot allowed

On Swing, a trade opened within two minutes before or after a release must last more than two minutes. Sources: news policy, Swing rules, Pro rules and One rules.

The Qualified restriction includes pending orders and stop-loss or take-profit execution. Holding a position opened before the restricted period is permitted, but an order triggering inside the window can breach the rule. Invalid news profits can be removed, while losses remain. Check the official event and instrument list.

Are stop-loss and take-profit orders mandatory?

No. The official stop-loss and take-profit policy says they are optional and recommends their use. Every drawdown, per-asset risk and news-execution limit still applies. An EA used for order management must also follow the separate approval policy.

What are the leverage and lot size limits?

Alpha Pro offers up to 1:100 FX leverage; One, Swing and Direct offer up to 1:30 FX leverage. Leverage does not remove exposure or loss limits.

Plan familyFX leverageMetalsIndicesOil
Alpha Pro1:1001:301:201:10

Alpha Swing1:301:91:101:10
Alpha Direct1:301:91:101:10

Plan sources: Pro 6%, Pro 8%/10%, One, Swing and Direct.

Do the published lot caps apply during evaluation?

The dedicated evaluation lot-limit policy states that there is no maximum lot cap during evaluation. Qualified accounts have a combined open exposure cap, shown below. Available margin and every other trading restriction still apply.

Qualified sizePro / One / Three / Direct maximum open lotsSwing maximum open lots
$5,0002.51.25
$10,00052.5
$25,000105
$50,0002010
$100,0004020
$200,0008040
$300,000, where permitted12060

The cap covers combined simultaneous positions, rather than a separate allowance per order. A first breach removes the affected performance fee; a second can forfeit the performance fee and deactivate the account. Breaches are counted per position. See the Qualified lot exposure policy. The $300K rule tier is not a claim that a standalone $300K account is sold.

How do Alpha Capital payouts and consistency rules work?

On-demand requests require minimum profit and a best-day test. Biweekly Pro accounts follow a scheduled request cycle. The payout choice is selected at purchase and affects the evaluation fee.

Payout arrangementWhen a request can be madeProfit conditionBest-day ceiling
Pro / One / Swing on-demandAfter account conditions are metAt least 2% gross profit40% of total profit
Pro biweeklyEvery 14 days, starting 14 days after the first Qualified trade$100 gross minimum; 5 valid trading days for the first requestThe on-demand 40% test does not apply
Alpha Direct on-demandAfter its buffer and payout conditions are metRetain a 3% buffer; earn at least another 1% gross15% of total profit

Sources: on-demand policy, biweekly policy and Direct rules. Biweekly trading days must follow the same strategy; token-size trades used only to fill the day count are disallowed. Biweekly accounts cannot switch to on-demand requests.

How is the best-day percentage calculated?

Divide the best day's net profit by total net profit. For a standard 40% on-demand test, a $1,200 best day needs at least $3,000 total profit, alongside the plan's 2% minimum. An account with $2,000 profit but a $1,200 best day has a 60% score and does not yet meet the test.

For Direct, a $100K account with $4,000 total profit retains its $3,000 buffer. A $600 best day is 15% of $4,000. Requesting the $1,000 above the buffer produces $900 at the 90% split, before payment-provider charges. A request window does not guarantee instant approval or delivery.

Are Expert Advisors and copy trading allowed?

Only approved MT5 risk-management and trade-assistance EAs are permitted under the current EA policy. Fully automated strategies that independently execute trades are prohibited.

ActivityPublished requirement
MT5 trade-management EASelect EA use at checkout and obtain pre-approval before use
EA on a Qualified accountMust have been enabled and used in evaluation
EA on cTrader, DXtrade or TradeLockerNot available
EA on Swap-Free, Direct or Focused Trader Group accountsNot permitted
Fully automated trading botProhibited
Copying your own accountsRequires the firm's authorisation and account details before starting
Copying another trader or signal groupProhibited

For copying, an external master must belong to you; only one master is allowed at a time. Copying on or from cTrader, DXtrade and TradeLocker is unavailable under the published policy. Sources: EA rules and copy-trading rules. Do not assume that buying an EA tool or enabling its platform button grants permission.

What trade duration and prohibited-strategy rules apply?

Average trade duration must exceed two minutes, and at least 50% of the relevant profit must come from trades lasting more than two minutes. For evaluations, the measure is targeted profit; for Qualified accounts, it is gross profit above the initial balance.

Some individual shorter trades are allowed. Meeting the average alone is insufficient if the profit-contribution test fails. The duration policy can require a Phase 1 restart after an evaluation breach or remove Qualified profits and reset the balance.

Is rapid position splitting allowed?

Intentional position spamming is prohibited. The current policy identifies three or more positions in the same intended exposure, each opened within 60 seconds of the preceding position, as a prohibited pattern. Genuine scaling remains subject to its execution guidance.

Latency exploitation, arbitrage, high-frequency trading, group trading, reverse trading/group hedging and third-party account management are also prohibited. See the prohibited strategies policy. Permission to hold multiple positions does not remove these execution restrictions.

How many trading days are required, and can the account expire?

One requires one evaluation trading day; Pro and Swing require three per phase. Completing the target early does not remove the remaining days. Under the trading-day definition, opening and closing a trade on the same day counts; carrying one trade across several dates does not create several trading days.

There is no maximum evaluation completion period, but every stage has a 30-day inactivity limit. Logging in alone does not count as trading activity. Contact support in advance if a long break is planned; deactivation is not a routine reset.

What are the allocation, merging and identity requirements?

Qualified allocation is capped at $400,000 per household before capital growth, with a separate $300,000 limit per trading strategy. Evaluation purchases do not remove these Qualified-stage limits.

RequirementWhat it means
Household allocation$400,000 combined Qualified allocation; household traders must trade different assets
Strategy allocation$300,000; correlated assets cannot be used to evade the same-setup limit
Accounts above the strategy capAsset-based separation applies even on different days, as explained in the official examples
MergingOnly matching Qualified account type and platform; both at initial balance; maximum $300,000
DirectCannot be merged or scaled

Sources: household and strategy allocation, merging rules and Direct rules. Merged accounts cannot be scaled, and Focused Trader Group accounts cannot be merged.

A shared household IP or a VPN/VPS requires advance notification under the IP policy. Each person must operate only their own accounts. For evaluations, KYC, withdrawal details and a signed contract precede Qualified credentials. Direct performs its initial KYC at the first payout stage unless identity is already verified. Check country and platform access before paying; the public purchase form includes a declaration that the purchaser is not a US resident or citizen.

What are the COMPARE50 and COMPARE offers?

COMPARE50 gives 50% off the first purchase. COMPARE gives 30% off later purchases. PFA's offer record lists these as separate promotions, verified by Yash R on 25 October 2026.

CodeDiscountPurchase conditionCalculation
COMPARE5050%First purchaseOfficial base fee × 0.50

The documented coverage used here is Pro 6%, Pro 8%, One 10% and Swing. Direct, Pro 10%, legacy plans, resets and paid add-ons require separate coverage confirmation. The coupon reduces the accepted fee; it does not relax targets, loss limits, trading restrictions or payout requirements. Full terms: Alpha Capital coupon page.

How much does each Alpha Capital account cost after discount?

The tables show 36 account configurations, with an official published base fee and separate final prices and savings for each code. All amounts are USD, before additional options, taxes or payment-conversion costs.

The base fees follow Alpha's plan and pricing update and evaluation cost schedule, both dated 21 September 2026 and accessed for this guide on 25 October 2026. The tables calculate the two discounts from that published schedule. Confirm the current configured fee and accepted reduction in the official order before payment.

For clarity, newer published biweekly figures are used: for example, Pro 6% $5K is $30 and Pro 8% $5K is $40 before discount. Choose the matching payout schedule when comparing fees.

What is the cheapest listed account with each code?

The cheapest configuration in these tables is Alpha Pro 6% $5K On-Demand, with a published $27 base fee. It calculates to $13.50 with COMPARE50, saving $13.50, or $18.90 with COMPARE, saving $8.10.

Those are first-purchase and later-purchase scenarios. They cannot be combined into an 80% discount. A $5K simulated balance is the account's trading reference, not cash paid to the purchaser.

How do I apply the Alpha Capital discount code?

Enter the correct code in the official site's discount field, click Apply and confirm the final order amount before paying.

  1. Open Alpha Capital's official product page.
  2. Choose the account model, target variant and simulated size.
  3. Select the platform and performance-fee schedule, then review any paid upgrades.
  4. Enter COMPARE50 for your first purchase or COMPARE for a later purchase.
  5. Apply the code and compare the accepted percentage, base fee, savings and total with the matching configuration.
  6. Read the account agreement, country restrictions and refund terms, then save the order details after purchase.

If the accepted rate or price differs, ask Alpha support about that exact configuration before completing payment.

Do the codes cover the 90% split or Swap-Free upgrades?

Add-on coverage is not established by PFA's recorded base-fee offer. Check the order's treatment of each upgrade.

The official add-on guide prices optional upgrades at approximately 10% of the base plan and requires selection at purchase. The 90% split upgrade is offered on One and on-demand Pro. Swap-Free is MT5-only for One and Pro; it replaces overnight swaps with extra commission of $5 per lot per direction, uses Standard spreads and disables EAs.

Are evaluation fees refundable after passing?

The official evaluation-fee policy states that evaluation plans are non-refundable. Passing does not create a fee refund under that policy. Check the purchase agreement for any distinct cancellation or payment issue.

Does COMPARE50 or COMPARE expire?

PFA's current offer record does not state a fixed expiry date. 25 October 2026 is the verification date, rather than an expiry date. Merchant terms and acceptance for the chosen order still apply. No stacking permission or automatic future verification is claimed.
