Alpha Futures does not state that every position must remain open for two minutes. Its prohibited-practices page evaluates tick-scalping patterns, execution quality and whether a strategy can translate to live markets. A useful review therefore combines duration, ticks, size and the reason for exiting instead of treating a stopwatch as permission.
Verified code: COMPARE offers up to 50% off eligible Alpha Futures accounts. The maximum is account-specific. Official sources checked: 10 October 2026.

What does Alpha Futures actually say about fast exits?
The official prohibited-practices policy identifies tick or micro scalping using trades under ten ticks and under two minutes, then explains that there is no universal minimum holding time. Repeated short-duration profits without a plan, maximum-size trades seeking favorable simulated fills, and execution exploitation remain concerns. The policy applies in evaluation and Qualified stages.
That distinction matters when reviewing a legitimate protective exit. Holding a losing position open merely to make a duration column look better can increase risk. Conversely, adding a few seconds to a repetitive fill-exploitation approach would not establish that the underlying behavior is acceptable. Ask Alpha Futures about the actual strategy when its fit is uncertain.
Build a trade record that answers the useful questions
Use one row per completed position and retain the raw execution export. A compact journal can contain:
| Field | What to record | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Account and stage | Exact account identifier and evaluation or Qualified status | Connects the record to the correct agreement |
| Instrument | Symbol and contract month | Prevents unlike products being combined blindly |
| Time | Entry and final exit timestamps, including time zone | Makes duration reproducible |
| Quantity | Initial size, additions and partial exits | Shows exposure through the trade |
| Price movement | Entry, exit and instrument tick size | Supports a tick calculation |
| Decision | Original setup, invalidation and actual exit reason | Explains the trade beyond its duration |
| Result | Gross profit, commission and net result | Separates price movement from account impact |
This is an editorial recordkeeping method, not a form Alpha Futures requires. Record the explanation when the trade happens. A later reconstruction based only on whether the trade won is weaker evidence of the original decision.
Compare two short trades without inventing a safe harbor
Consider two hypothetical positions on a product with a 0.25-point tick. Both last 75 seconds and exit 1.5 points from entry. Each price move is six ticks because 1.5 divided by 0.25 equals six.
In the first record, the trader entered a documented setup, used a planned protective order and exited after the setup invalidated. In the second, the trader repeatedly used maximum size to collect small gains from unusually favorable simulated fills. Identical duration and tick columns do not describe identical trading behavior.
Neither example is an Alpha Futures approval decision. It shows why the supporting columns matter. A screenshot of one quick exit also cannot establish the character of an entire strategy. Review a representative set of sessions, including losses, missed exits and trades that lasted longer than expected.
Summarize the pattern without optimizing around the wording
A weekly summary can count completed positions, show their duration range, and total net results by your own strategy labels. For example, a sample of 40 trades containing 12 short-duration exits merits a closer look at those 12 records. The count alone does not prove a violation or establish a permitted percentage.
Do not manufacture a threshold such as “less than 30% of trades is safe.” The source does not supply one. The question is whether the execution approach is defensible under the actual policy, with realistic fills and a clear trading plan.
Ask a question support can evaluate
Describe the instrument, normal quantity, typical holding range, order types and reasons for rapid exits. Include a small representative anonymized log if official support requests it. Ask whether the described workflow fits the current agreement for your account stage.
Avoid asking only, “Is scalping allowed?” That leaves out the circumstances most likely to change the answer. Save the response and revisit it when changing the strategy, platform or order method. A reply about one configuration should not be stretched to a materially different setup.
Keep this review separate from the Alpha Futures news-order window, which can impose an additional timing restriction around an event. Passing a duration review does not resolve every other account condition.
What does the purchase cost with COMPARE?
The official monthly subscription schedule lists the following evaluation bases in USD. These calculations show the maximum reduction only when the selected purchase qualifies for the full 50%.
| Plan | Account size | Regular price | Code | Discount | Savings | Final price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard evaluation, initial monthly fee | $50,000 | $129.00 | COMPARE | Up to 50%; maximum shown conditionally | $64.50 if 50% applies | $64.50 if 50% applies |
| Advanced evaluation, initial monthly fee | $50,000 | $209.00 | COMPARE | Up to 50%; maximum shown conditionally | $104.50 if 50% applies | $104.50 if 50% applies |
- Open the official Alpha Futures site and choose the exact plan, size and platform.
- Review the account rules, regular fee and monthly billing commitment.
- Enter COMPARE before payment and apply it to the eligible purchase.
- Check the accepted rate and final total, then save the receipt and issued terms.
Evaluation subscriptions recur until passing or cancellation; the initial reduction does not establish renewal, reset or optional-service discounts. Consult the current Alpha Futures coupon and firm review before choosing an account.
The practical conclusion is to assess the strategy before its discounted entry cost. Prop Firm Audit may earn an affiliate commission. Evaluation and Qualified balances are simulated; fees can be lost, and orderly records do not guarantee passing or a payout.

Its policy expressly says there is no universal minimum holding period. It still scrutinizes repetitive tick-scalping patterns and simulated-execution exploitation.
Record timestamps, instrument, quantity, price movement, original setup, actual exit reason and net result. This is a practical editorial checklist, not an official approval procedure.
No permitted percentage is established in the cited policy. Ask official support about the actual workflow rather than inventing a safe threshold.
COMPARE offers up to 50% off eligible account purchases. The selected account determines the actual rate; renewal and add-on reductions are not assumed.
