AquaFunded News Profit Cap Rules + Discount Code COMPARE

AquaFunded's newer news policy caps qualifying news-window profit at 0.5% of the starting account balance per payout cycle; earlier purchases keep the previous restriction. The purchase-date rule and the cycle ledger both matter. A coupon does not change which news policy the account follows.

Code: COMPARE

Verified on 12 October 2026. Verified code: COMPARE.

Verified code: COMPARE gives 25% off eligible AquaFunded Forex/CFD base purchase fees. This is separate from AquaFutures. Official sources were checked on 7 October 2026. The examples below explain the newer news cap without treating every profitable trade as immediately withdrawable.

Establish the policy version before adding profits

The official news guide applies the newer policy to accounts opened after 27 April 2026, while separately saying purchases before that date retain the old rules. Its wording does not clearly settle accounts purchased exactly on the boundary date or a purchase-versus-issuance mismatch. Ask for written account-specific confirmation in those cases.

The newer cap concerns trades opened or closed within five minutes before or after high-impact events, including relevant FOMC events. The guide identifies Forex Factory and Myfxbook calendars. It describes excess news profit removal without a cap-related penalty or breach. The earlier funded policy removes affected profits instead of granting the newer allowance.

Convert 0.5% using the starting balance

Half of one percent is 0.005 as a decimal. Multiply the starting account balance by 0.005, rather than multiplying a purchase fee or current reward request. These are cap calculations, not offered account prices.

Illustrative starting balanceCalculationNews-profit cap per cycle
$10,000$10,000 × 0.005$50
$25,000$25,000 × 0.005$125
$50,000$50,000 × 0.005$250
$100,000$100,000 × 0.005$500

A $50,000 account that has grown to $53,000 does not automatically get a $265 allowance from this wording. Record the policy's starting-balance reference explicitly and reconcile a different dashboard figure before using it.

The allowance is an accounting ceiling, not a recommended news-trading target. Volatile releases can involve spread changes and imperfect fills, while the model's daily, total and floating-risk conditions continue to matter.

A cycle example with ordinary and news profit

Assume a qualifying newer $50K account has $900 of otherwise eligible non-news profit and three classified news-profit entries of $120, $90 and $110. The news entries sum to $320. With a $250 cap, the excess is $70.

Ledger itemIllustrative amount
Non-news eligible profit$900
News profit before the cap$320
Total before news adjustment$1,220
News profit above $250$70
Total after this adjustment only$1,150

The $1,150 remains a pre-share, pre-other-conditions figure. A normal 90% share, where that is the account's actual confirmed share, would give $1,035 before other charges. Do not assume a 100% optional share or a different model's reward percentage without the order evidence.

For a current One Step Flex account, its model guide lists a standard 90% share alongside separate funded risk controls and reward requirements. A WaveStop adjustment can change that share. PFA's WaveStop explanation addresses that different question in detail.

The cap belongs to a cycle, not each event

A ledger that resets the $250 allowance after every announcement would overstate this example. Keep one running news-profit total for the applicable payout cycle, with event and ticket details below it. Record the actual cycle start and end from the account dashboard rather than assuming a calendar month.

If one trade relates to more than one event, retain a single ticket identity and ask how the firm classifies overlapping windows. The short public news guide does not establish a detailed double-event adjustment algorithm. Likewise, do not invent how losses are netted against generated news profit when the dashboard treatment is unclear.

These limitations are why the worked example uses clearly classified positive entries. It demonstrates the cap arithmetic without pretending to resolve every execution edge case.

Entry and exit timestamps both belong in the record

For a hypothetical announcement at 12:30 UTC, the described window is 12:25–12:35 UTC. A position opened long before the announcement can still have an exit during the window. A pending order can execute later than it was initially placed.

Keep actual fill and close times, the platform timezone, event time and event classification together. A screenshot of a calendar with no timezone cannot reliably establish whether a trade fell inside the period. FOMC-related events can also have different scheduled entries, so preserve the event name rather than recording only a date.

Do not delay a necessary risk exit merely to avoid a potential profit adjustment. Nor should a trader create a new trade simply because some cap remains unused. The ledger is a reporting tool, not a signal to take exposure.

Reconcile the model's other conditions after the adjustment

A corrected profit total can change a private estimate of reward eligibility. Recheck the actual dashboard's consistency, minimum-day and payout conditions instead of assuming an old spreadsheet status still applies. Do not automatically change qualifying-day results yourself when the public rule does not specify how an adjustment flows through that calculation.

The AquaFunded review compares the wider model family. One Step, Two Step and Instant programs have different conditions, and model names shared with futures do not make their rules interchangeable. The firm also states that accounts are simulated; a displayed balance is not a bank deposit or cash entitlement.

Purchase discount with an honest price limitation

The official storefront was checked on the date above, but its accessible price fields contained unresolved zero placeholders. Those are not verified free-account quotes. This guide therefore gives a scoped formula rather than reusing an older program fee as a current price.

Apply COMPARE to the correct market

  1. Select Forex/CFD on AquaFunded's official site, then the exact model, size and platform.
  2. Read the issued news policy and check purchase-date applicability before relying on the newer cap.
  3. Keep optional reward-share and timing upgrades separate from the regular base fee.
  4. Enter COMPARE and verify the eligible 25% reduction and full total before payment.
  5. Save the receipt and account terms together with the cycle ledger.

Affiliate disclosure and limits: PFA may receive a commission from qualifying purchases or coupon use. No fixed coupon expiry is confirmed. Rules were checked on 7 October 2026; examples are educational arithmetic, not observed performance or payout promises. Fees can be lost, and all rewards depend on the applicable agreement and compliant results.
