Atlas Funded Forex Margin Usage + Coupon Code COMPARE

Atlas Funded checks margin use separately from drawdown. On a funded Forex account, reaching 80% margin usage can close all positions and remove their positive profit even without ending the account. The practical task is to monitor the combined account ratio before adding another position, rather than checking only whether its stop loss fits your risk budget.

Verified code: COMPARE gives 50% off qualifying Atlas Funded Forex/CFD base-account purchases. A $5K 2-Step account with a $43 regular fee calculates to $21.50, saving $21.50. The coupon changes the purchase fee, not the margin rule.

What exactly is the Atlas margin-usage trigger?

The current official margin rule measures used margin divided by used margin plus free margin. At 80% or more on a funded account, positions close and profitable positions have their profit removed. Losses remain. The rule is a close-out and deduction event, rather than an automatic account breach. Evaluation accounts are outside this particular rule.

That distinction matters when investigating a closed trade. A remaining account login does not establish that a profitable exit will count toward a payout. Equally, a margin event should not automatically be described as the same thing as crossing maximum drawdown. Each rule has its own trigger and consequence.

The official page says the check occurs on every equity update. A ratio that was acceptable when an order opened can therefore become problematic later. Do not assume the number remains safe just because no new position has been added.

Work through the ratio before increasing exposure

The following figures are illustrations, not actual trader results or recommended position sizes. They isolate the arithmetic from the instrument-specific margin calculation.

Used marginFree marginCombined denominatorMargin usageInterpretation against 80%
$6,000$4,000$10,00060%Below trigger
$7,500$2,500$10,00075%Below, with less room
$8,000$2,000$10,00080%Trigger reached
$7,500$1,500$9,00083.33%Above trigger

The last row is especially useful: unchanged used margin is not proof of unchanged risk. If free margin falls, the denominator shrinks and the ratio rises. A worksheet should record both numbers from the same platform snapshot. Combining used margin from one timestamp with free margin from another creates a ratio the account never actually had.

At 75% in this illustration, the trader is not 25 percentage points from the rule. The distance to the 80% trigger is five percentage points. This is a monitoring distinction, not an instruction to trade at the limit. Fees, price movement and changes in instrument margin can reduce the remaining room.

Why a stop-loss calculation is not enough

A stop-loss budget estimates a planned loss under assumed execution. Margin is the amount required to support positions. Those measurements answer different questions. A small stop distance can still accompany a large position that uses substantial margin, and several individually modest trades can create a large combined requirement.

A useful pre-entry worksheet therefore has two separate lines: the intended loss estimate and the resulting account margin ratio. Neither replaces the other. The account's maximum drawdown rules continue to govern live equity, while the Atlas Protector has another set of funded-stage open-loss consequences. This guide does not add those percentages together or treat one unused limit as credit against another.

Before changing a position, confirm the actual instrument and account stage. The platform's displayed margin requirement is more relevant than a generic online lot calculator built for different leverage. Record a proposed increase separately from existing exposure so that the effect of the additional position is visible.

Base-account prices and COMPARE savings

The regular USD fees below come from Atlas's current official pricing component. The selected rows illustrate the purchase calculation for Forex 2-Step accounts; they do not imply that different account sizes change the 80% funded margin rule.

PlanSizeRegular priceCodeDiscountSavingsFinal base price
2-Step$5,000$43.00COMPARE50%$21.50$21.50
2-Step$25,000$160.00COMPARE50%$80.00$80.00
2-Step$100,000$443.00COMPARE50%$221.50$221.50

These are calculated base fees when the listed offer applies to the selected purchase. Optional upgrades, taxes, conversion charges and later payments are separate. Do not discount an already reduced price again or assume coverage on an add-on. See the Atlas Forex coupon guide for the complete scope and the Atlas Forex review for program differences.

Apply the code and prepare the funded-stage checklist

  1. Select Atlas Funded's Forex market, the program, size and platform.
  2. Enter COMPARE in the purchase coupon field and review the base-fee reduction.
  3. Separate optional items from the account fee before confirming the total.
  4. Save the receipt and the rules for that program and account stage.
  5. Before funded trading, record where used margin and free margin are displayed.
  6. Recheck their ratio when adding exposure and when equity changes significantly.

After an unexpected close, preserve order times, the account snapshot and the transaction history before asking support what triggered it. Do not infer that the coupon caused a trading restriction, or assume a profitable fill has been approved for a reward. The final takeaway is simple: use COMPARE for the purchase discount, then manage margin as a separate combined-account constraint throughout funded trading.
