Breakout Prop Payout Loss-Floor Math + Discount Code COMPARE

Verified code: COMPARE.

Verified on 12 October 2026. Verified code: COMPARE.

A Breakout Prop payout request lowers the daily-loss equity floor by the payout amount, then the floor is recalculated at 00:30 UTC from the remaining balance. The separate overall drawdown rule continues. This means the trading room immediately after a payout can differ from the room after the next daily reset. COMPARE is PFA’s active 5% base-evaluation discount.

Official sources checked: 5 October 2026. This guide concerns the daily-floor adjustment on standard 1-Step accounts. It does not apply an assumed formula to Spark or describe the payout as guaranteed income.

Purchase price and payout adjustment are separate calculations

The official Breakout Prop comparison lists a $100K Classic standard fee of $800. Its regular 80% share configuration calculates as follows using the PFA coupon.

PlanSizeRegular fee USDCodeDiscountSavings USDFinal base fee USD
Classic, standard split$100,000$800.00COMPARE5%$40.00$760.00

Paid upgrades and separate tax or payment charges are excluded. The $40 purchase saving is not added to the trading account’s permitted loss budget. Likewise, a later funded withdrawal is not a refund of the evaluation fee.

Follow the two-stage daily-floor change

The official payout-adjustment FAQ describes the payout amount as widening the daily limit. In floor notation, subtract that amount from the existing daily equity floor. At the next 00:30 UTC reset, use the then-current balance for the normal calculation.

A useful worksheet therefore records the pre-request balance, current daily floor, full account deduction, balance afterward and next reset time. Keep the gross account movement separate from the trader’s received share.

Worked example: partial payout before reset

Assume a hypothetical $100K Classic funded account had $104,000 balance at the daily reset and has not traded since. At 3%, its daily floor is $100,880. A $2,000 account-level payout deduction leaves $102,000 balance and an adjusted daily floor of $98,880.

SnapshotBalanceDaily floorDistance above daily floor
Before request$104,000$100,880$3,120
Immediately after $2,000 deduction$102,000$98,880$3,120
Next reset, no other changes$102,000$98,940$3,060

These are arithmetic examples from the published adjustment and 3% reset mechanics. They show why the immediate $3,120 distance does not persist unchanged after the reset. No trading, financing charges or further adjustments are assumed between rows.

Overall drawdown remains an independent boundary

The Classic funded-account FAQ sets the overall floor at 6% below initial balance. On $100K Classic that is $94,000, independent of profits. It is not the same field as the temporary daily adjustment.

In the example, the daily boundary is higher than $94,000 before and after the request. That higher boundary is the more restrictive one at those snapshots. A spreadsheet that only subtracts equity from the static floor would overstate usable room.

As an original planning check, record both distances side by side and inspect the smaller one. If equity is $101,000 while the daily floor is $98,940, the daily distance is $2,060. The distance to $94,000 is $7,000. The latter figure does not authorize a $7,000 loss before the daily rule intervenes.

Do not turn headroom into a spending target

A computed distance is not a recommendation to risk the entire amount. Commissions, holding charges, open-position movement and execution differences can change equity. A spreadsheet snapshot can become obsolete between the calculation and the order.

For example, a strategy stress test might combine $600 of hypothetical price loss, $40 of costs and another $300 of simultaneous adverse movement. The combined $940 matters more than looking at each position in isolation. This is a risk-accounting illustration, not an additional Breakout Prop rule or a forecast of the worst possible loss.

Reconcile the dashboard after the request

The official payout instructions require a flat, unbreached account at request time and distinguish immediate balance deduction from subsequent approval. Record the actual deduction and both displayed limits before resuming, then check them again after the daily reset.

If a field differs from the illustration, stop relying on the spreadsheet until the account configuration and timestamps are reconciled. Possible questions include whether a trading cost posted, whether another request changed the balance, and whether the displayed number is a dollar allowance or an equity floor. Do not assume every field labeled loss limit represents the same thing.

Our wallet payout guide separately covers receiving USDC; the Breakout Prop review covers model selection. Neither a request nor a lower floor guarantees a future reward.
