Passing a Breakout Prop evaluation and receiving permission to trade a funded account are separate events. The evaluation tests your trading against its target and risk rules. Funded trading starts after identity checks, a separate agreement and final approval. This guide compares those stages for standard 1-Step Classic, Pro and Turbo accounts, then explains what to check before your first funded trade.
Official source pages were checked on 28 October 2026. The coupon details below come from PFA's current Breakout Prop coupon record, which records COMPARE as verified by Yash R on 1 November 2026.
What changes between a Breakout evaluation and a funded account?
The main change is your account's purpose and approval status: the evaluation establishes whether you meet its conditions; the approved funded stage opens access to performance-based payout requests. Breakout's two-stage explanation treats them as distinct stages.
| Checkpoint | Evaluation stage | Approved funded stage |
|---|---|---|
| Main purpose | Meet the chosen evaluation's target and risk rules | Trade under the funded agreement and meet payout conditions |
| Program relationship | Evaluation operated by Breakout Trading Group, LLC | Separate Funded Trader Agreement with Payward Oceanic, Ltd (POL) |
| Permission to trade | Access to the purchased evaluation | Funded trading enabled after approval |
| Payout access | Evaluation profits cannot be withdrawn | Requests become possible under funded-account rules |
| Account record | Evaluation balance, results and completion status | New account details, opening balance and current risk limits to confirm |
| Trading environment | Simulated evaluation | Funded trading also uses simulated capital |
Use the table as a handover checklist. In particular, a passing result, a signed agreement and a trading-enabled funded account should have separate entries in your records. One status should not be used as evidence of the others.
Does an evaluation pass automatically activate funded trading?
No. The dedicated approval FAQ requires successful KYC, a separate POL agreement and final approval before activation. It describes a 12–24-hour approval timeline; that published timeframe is not evidence that a particular application has been approved.
The pricing page uses automatic-upgrade language. For the practical handover, follow the more specific approval instructions rather than treating that marketing phrase as permission to place funded trades immediately.
The post-pass process directs traders to dashboard KYC instructions, says the agreement is emailed after passing, and describes an email confirming when trading is enabled. If the dashboard still shows a pending step, resolve that status through official support before using another account or submitting a new purchase.
A useful support request states the evaluation identifier, pass notification time, current KYC status and whether the agreement has been completed. Send identity documents only through the approved verification channel. A clear status question is more useful than assuming that a passed evaluation has disappeared or that another fee is required.
Why does the funded agreement name Payward Oceanic, Ltd?
POL and Breakout Trading Group, LLC are separate companies. The official company explanation assigns evaluation operations to Breakout Trading Group and the separate funded relationship to POL.
Read the issued funded agreement as its own document. Retain the counterparty name, account model, version or acceptance date, and the terms attached to that account. A purchase receipt demonstrates what you bought; it does not substitute for the later contract or approval message. Do standard account loss limits disappear after passing?
No. The funded FAQs retain plan-specific static maximum drawdown: Classic 6%, Pro 5% and Turbo 3% of the initial balance. Passing does not turn these accounts into unrestricted balances.
| Standard model | Evaluation target | Funded static maximum drawdown | Example floor on a $5,000 funded starting balance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | 10% | 6% | $4,700 |
| Pro | 12% | 5% | $4,750 |
| Turbo | 9% | 3% | $4,850 |
Evaluation targets are documented in the program rules. Funded loss limits come from the dedicated Classic, Pro and Turbo FAQs. The illustrative floors equal $5,000 multiplied by one minus the relevant percentage.
The table isolates overall drawdown. Before trading, also read the separate daily-loss boundary and other controls displayed for the issued account. Do not copy a last-day evaluation balance into a new risk worksheet without checking the funded account's actual opening figures.
Spark has its own trailing-loss framework. Existing legacy Two-Step accounts also have separate documentation. Use the Spark handover guide for that product rather than extending this standard-account table to it.
Can you withdraw the profit used to pass the evaluation?
No. The evaluation payout FAQ limits payout access to the approved funded stage. An evaluation target is a qualification requirement, not a withdrawal balance.
For example, the documented 12% target on a $5,000 Pro evaluation is $600. Reaching that target within the rules can complete the evaluation, but it does not create a $600 payout request. The next record to inspect is the new account described in the post-completion process, including its actual starting balance and approval state.
Once funded, the payout request FAQ requires no open positions, an unbreached account and a request of at least $50 after the split. Approval and delivery are later steps. Our USDC wallet checklist covers the receiving-wallet checks.
Is the funded account a personal brokerage deposit?
No. Breakout's funded-environment FAQ describes simulated capital and execution built around live-market liquidity data. The account label does not mean that its nominal balance is cash deposited in your name.
Keep purchase costs, simulated account results and received payouts in separate records. The funded-fee FAQ states that trading charges reduce the demo balance used in performance calculations and points to Cash Movements for the breakdown. Check that ledger rather than treating a discounted evaluation fee as a reduction in later execution costs.
How much does a standard evaluation cost with COMPARE?
PFA records COMPARE for 5% off standard Classic, Pro and Turbo evaluation base fees with the 80% split. The official pricing page currently lists these $5,000 examples; each final fee is the regular price multiplied by 0.95.
| Account type | Size | Official regular fee | Coupon code | Discount | Savings | Final base fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-Step Classic | $5,000 | $45.00 | COMPARE | 5% | $2.25 | $42.75 |
| 1-Step Pro | $5,000 | $33.00 | COMPARE | 5% | $1.65 | $31.35 |
| 1-Step Turbo | $5,000 | $20.00 | COMPARE | 5% | $1.00 | $19.00 |
The published standard evaluation fee is one-time, with no additional funded-upgrade charge after passing. Optional share upgrades, taxes and payment charges are separate from the table. Confirm any first-order referral conditions and the code's accepted coverage for your order in the current coupon terms.
To apply the Breakout Prop discount code:
- Select the account model, size and share package in the official purchase flow.
- Read its trading rules, identity requirements and purchase conditions.
- Enter COMPARE before payment and apply it.
- Check the discount line and complete total, including separate charges.
- Retain the receipt and rules issued for that purchase.
What should you check before the first funded trade?
Confirm the trading-enabled approval, then check the actual account rather than relying on evaluation screenshots. Record the issued account identifier, starting balance, plan, risk limits and selected profit-share package. Reconcile the platform's current positions and working orders before entering anything new.
Keep the evaluation completion record and funded approval together, while retaining their separate meanings. Read the full Breakout Prop review for broader plan details and the crypto firm directory for related comparisons.
