FundingPips Master news checks need two clocks: the scheduled release time and, for a speech, its actual finishing time. The current 2 Step Pro guide uses a five-minute window either side of high-impact releases and a speech window from ten minutes before the start until ten minutes after the end. A profitable exit can be excluded even when the trade did not break a loss limit.
Verified code: AUDIT, 10% off all FundingPips accounts. The offer is verified by Yash R.; this article does not claim an independent checkout or trading test. Current coupon terms explain the purchase scope. Official documents checked 8 October 2026.

Match the account before calculating a window
This worked guide uses the current 2 Step Pro model document. It should not be applied automatically to Zero or to an older account governed by a different agreement. Record the model, stage, purchase date and any reset before reviewing the trades.
The document distinguishes evaluation management from Master profit adjustments. It allows evaluation positions to be held and managed through news, while deliberately trading news or speeches is prohibited at both stages. On Master accounts, affected profits from opening or closing inside the restricted window may be removed. That distinction prevents the phrase “news allowed” from becoming a blanket permission.
The official calendar is the one in the FundingPips dashboard. Use its event classification and affected currency. A calendar on a second website can be a planning aid, but should not replace the firm's record when checking compliance.
Put releases and speeches on separate rows
The following times are invented examples, all expressed in the same timezone. They demonstrate the window calculation rather than identify a real economic event.
| Illustrative event | Event timing | Restricted window under the cited rule |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduled high-impact release | 12:30 | 12:25 to 12:35 |
| Speech | Starts 14:00, finishes 14:40 | 13:50 to 14:50 |
| Same speech running longer | Starts 14:00, finishes 15:05 | 13:50 to 15:15 |
A speech does not become unrestricted ten minutes after its scheduled start. The end time changes the final boundary. Record the event's actual finish and the dashboard's treatment before deciding a close was outside the window. Avoid aiming for an exact boundary second when timestamps or feeds could differ.
Include pending orders and protective exits in the review. The model's clarification applies the Master restriction to all order types. An automatically triggered exit still has an execution timestamp; labelling it a stop or take-profit does not remove the need to check the event window.
Apply the five-hour exception carefully
The current Pro guide describes an exception for positions opened at least five hours before the event or speech. An eligible older position can be closed within the window with its profit counted. This is a condition attached to that position, not permission to create a fresh news trade.
For a hypothetical 12:30 release, a position opened at 07:00 has been open for five hours thirty minutes. A position opened at 09:00 has been open for three hours thirty minutes. If both close at 12:31, only the first meets the stated age test. Other rules and the actual event classification still apply.
The same document warns that a partial close can flag the entire order. Keep ticket-level records for partial executions instead of assuming only the small portion closed near news will be assessed. If a platform's history groups multiple fills, retain the detailed execution export as well as the summary.
Reconcile eligible profit before estimating a reward
Consider an illustrative review period showing $1,400 of net trading profit. Suppose $350 is then identified as affected news profit and no other adjustment applies. The simplified adjusted total is $1,050. A reward calculation built on $1,400 would overstate the starting amount by $350 before considering the share or payment costs.
| Illustrative reconciliation | USD |
|---|---|
| Recorded net profit before this review adjustment | $1,400 |
| Assumed affected profit removed | $350 |
| Result after this adjustment only | $1,050 |
This is an accounting example, not a prediction of how any disputed trade will be decided. The official model guide also warns that traders remain responsible if a deduction produces a daily or maximum-loss violation. Treat a likely adjustment as unresolved account risk rather than relying on the visible unadjusted balance.
A useful review sheet contains the ticket, symbol, affected currency, open and close times, event start and finish, position age, partial-close flag and profit being reviewed. Add a source column for the calendar screenshot or official message. That gives support a specific case to assess without sending an undifferentiated account history.
Keep holding permissions separate
The current Standard guide and Pro guide also describe Master overnight and weekend restrictions and the Swing add-on. Holding permission is a separate check from the age of a trade at news. Do not plan to keep a position open for five hours if doing so conflicts with the account's holding rules.
Before the session, review open exposure against upcoming events. Before a reward request, reconcile the completed tickets again. The first check reduces avoidable timing mistakes; the second identifies differences between displayed trading profit and the amount likely to be eligible. Neither substitutes for FundingPips' own review.
Use AUDIT on the purchase, with fees checked separately
Current model-specific base prices could not be reliably verified for this article, so the table uses explicitly hypothetical fees. It does not quote a $100 or $200 FundingPips plan.
| Example, not a plan quote | Hypothetical regular base price (USD) | Coupon code | Discount | Savings (USD) | Final base price (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hypothetical fee A | $100.00 | AUDIT | 10% | $10.00 | $90.00 |
| Hypothetical fee B | $200.00 | AUDIT | 10% | $20.00 | $180.00 |
Choose the model and platform, review the rules, enter AUDIT before payment, and confirm the accepted reduction and complete total. The official getting-started guide says coupons cannot be applied after purchase. Add-ons, resets, conversion, tax and payment fees need separate confirmation; no stacking or fixed expiry is established.
Read the FundingPips review for broader context. Prop Firm Audit may receive affiliate commissions. Account balances are simulated program sizes, fees can be lost, and discounts do not guarantee qualification or rewards. The practical conclusion is to audit event timing and eligible profit before relying on a Master balance, then use the coupon only in the acquisition-cost calculation.
