For a Lucid Trading holiday session, build your plan around the earliest applicable account or product cutoff. Check the account stage, trading feed, contract and dated holiday notice before placing an order. A regular-hours screenshot is only a starting point for a shortened session.
This guide turns those checks into a practical worksheet. It complements the Lucid Trading review, rather than repeating the account comparison or payout calculators.
Which Lucid Trading close time should I start with?
Start with the rule for your account and connection. Lucid's Allowed Trading Times guide makes these distinctions:
| Account or connection named in the guide | Published ordinary close-out time | Planning note |
|---|---|---|
| LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDirect | 16:45 EST, Monday to Friday | Earlier holiday market closures take priority |
| LucidLive using Tradovate | 16:45 EST | Check the Live onboarding settings |
| LucidLive using Rithmic | 16:15 EST | Use the feed-specific Live deadline |
The guide uses EST and does not explicitly name LucidDaily. Get Daily-specific instructions and confirm the notice's timezone against your platform.
How do I find the right holiday schedule?
Use the CME Group trading-hours page, select the date, and filter to the product you actually trade. CME normally presents times in U.S. Central Time unless it states otherwise. A stock-market closure is not a complete futures timetable.
The calendar checked on 28 October 2026 lists its Thanksgiving window as 26–28 November 2026 and Christmas as 24–26 December 2026. CME says detailed holiday hours are usually finalized about two weeks beforehand. Use those windows as reminders to retrieve the product schedule close to the event; they do not establish a single closing hour for every contract.
Save a dated copy of the relevant schedule with the Lucid notice. If the instrument, date or timezone is missing from a screenshot, return to the source before using it to set an alarm.
What do the exchange's session-state labels mean?
A visible connection does not establish that orders can execute. The CME market-state documentation distinguishes these group states:
| State | What the exchange describes | Practical checkpoint |
|---|---|---|
| Preopen | Order entry, changes and cancellation; no matching | Do not assume an exit order has filled |
| Preopen, no-cancel phase | Entry permitted; changes and cancellation blocked | Identify this distinct phase before acting |
| Open | Continuous trading and order matching | Verify the actual execution result |
| Paused | Cancellation only; no matching | Separate cancellation from position closure |
| Final close | Day orders are eliminated | Reconcile any remaining account orders |
An individual instrument can have a separate state. An accepted order, an acknowledged cancellation and a flat position are different outcomes.
What should my holiday worksheet contain?
Keep one row for each account and contract combination. This prevents a familiar chart or copied workspace from silently supplying the wrong deadline.
| Field | What to record | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Identifier, plan and current stage | Separates evaluation, funded and Live instructions |
| Connection | Actual platform and feed | Identifies which Live cutoff to consult |
| Instrument | Full traded symbol and contract month | Matches the product-specific calendar |
| Session | Calendar date and exchange trade date | Keeps an overnight session attached to the right record |
| Source times | Lucid notice and exchange close, with timezone labels | Makes the earlier applicable deadline visible |
| Local alarm | Converted time and local calendar date | Reduces timezone and midnight mistakes |
| Completion | Positions flat, unwanted orders canceled, acknowledgments saved | Records the result rather than just the intention |
A worksheet is a personal planning aid, not an additional Lucid rule. Choose your preparation interval in advance and leave time to investigate an unexpected account state.
How can I check a local-time conversion?
Convert the dated deadline, not a timezone abbreviation remembered from another month. For illustration, 12:00 U.S. Central Standard Time equals 13:00 Eastern Standard Time, 18:00 UTC and 23:30 India Standard Time on the same day. This is winter-time arithmetic, not an announced Lucid or CME holiday cutoff.
If a hypothetical notice required closure before 13:00 Eastern and your personal checklist began at 12:50, the ten-minute interval would be your preparation choice. It would not extend permission to hold a position until the final second.
Write both the local time and date in the alarm. After any seasonal clock change, repeat the conversion using the actual trading date instead of adding a permanent offset to last month's reminder.
What should I do before the shortened session ends?
Complete the check across every account you intend to leave inactive:
- Open the account list and confirm the selected identifiers.
- Compare actual positions with the platform's execution history.
- Close positions according to the applicable notice and verify their final status.
- Review working orders separately, including attached and independently placed orders.
- Cancel unwanted orders and wait for the corresponding acknowledgments.
- Save a concise record of the account state and timestamp.
- Resolve any discrepancy through Lucid's official support channel before relying on an assumption.
What should I check when trading resumes?
Reopen your worksheet before opening a new position. Confirm the correct account, contract, session and working-order list. Read any updated notice rather than treating the previous session's configuration as permanent.
For platform login preparation, use the separate CQG and Rithmic setup checklist. For a move into Live, use the Live transition checklist.
How does AUDIT affect the account purchase cost?
AUDIT is PFA's recorded Lucid Trading coupon code for 30% off LucidDaily base fees and 30% off LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDirect base fees. The current Lucid coupon page records verification by Yash R on 1 November 2026.
These examples retain that page's documented base-fee references, whose price-source review is dated 25 October 2026. They are reference calculations for the listed configurations, not newly collected checkout quotes:
| Account type | Size | Recorded regular base | Code | Discount | Final base | Savings |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LucidPro | $25,000 | $108.00 | AUDIT | 30% | $75.60 | $32.40 |
| LucidFlex | $25,000 | $79.00 | AUDIT | 30% | $55.30 | $23.70 |
| LucidDaily Intraday | $25,000 | $79.00 | AUDIT | 30% | $55.30 | $23.70 |
| LucidDirect | $25,000 | $329.00 | AUDIT | 30% | $230.30 | $98.70 |
Apply the percentage once to the stated base. Check separate options, taxes and payment costs in the complete order. Lucid's Pro customization guide says its DLL choice is selected at purchase and cannot be changed on an active account, so compare the same configuration before and after a coupon.
How do I apply the Lucid Trading discount code?
Choose the account and settings on the official website, enter AUDIT in the purchase's coupon field, apply it, and review the accepted discount and full total before payment. Retain the receipt and account terms. The coupon changes the purchase cost; it does not change the trading timetable.
Lucid's simulated account fee guide describes Pro Evaluation and Direct as one-time purchases without automatic rebilling. An evaluation reset is a separate purchase process, not a holiday-calendar event.
Official sources were reviewed for this guide on 28 October 2026. Coupon verification and retained price-source dates are stated separately. Prop Firm Audit may receive a referral commission; account fees can be lost and program rewards depend on the applicable terms.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Use the CME schedule for the exact futures product, together with the Lucid account notice. A stock-market closure does not specify every futures session.
No. The cited Lucid guide distinguishes the two connections. Match the account to its actual feed and confirm the dated Live instructions.
CME describes preopen as accepting order entry, changes and cancellation without order matching. An accepted order is not evidence that the position has closed.
Check both lists. Position quantity and working-order status are separate records, so confirm each unwanted order is canceled instead of inferring that from a flat position.
Its named account sections cover Pro, Flex, Direct and Live. Obtain the current Daily-specific notice before applying a schedule to that account.
No. AUDIT concerns the recorded account purchase discount. The account and product trading deadlines still govern the session.
The official fee guide describes Pro Evaluation as a one-time purchase with no automatic rebilling. A paid evaluation reset is a separate action.
PFA records AUDIT at 30% off LucidDaily base fees and 30% off Pro, Flex and Direct base fees, verified by Yash R on 1 November 2026. Check the selected account configuration and accepted total.
