Maven permits temporary overseas trading and VPN/VPS use for ordinary access, but its IP policy says to disable a VPN for KYC. Travel permission does not override country eligibility or platform availability. Check the destination and the account setup before relying on the same trading routine away from home.
Verified code: AUDIT gives 10% off eligible Maven base purchase fees. The Maven coupon page records the coupon verification. A discounted purchase does not pre-approve identity checks or access from a restricted location. Coupon verified on 12 October 2026.
Official sources checked 8 October 2026. This guide addresses travel, network changes and verification readiness for Maven trading accounts, rather than weekend holding costs.
Read the travel clarification with the general IP rule
Maven's dedicated IP policy, updated 30 September, begins with a general same-region requirement and then explicitly permits temporary travel. It says existing and newly purchased accounts may be traded abroad, with an explanation and evidence requested if the detected location differs.
The page also allows personal devices and connections, provided the registered trader remains in control. It identifies VPN/proxy use and internet-provider routing as possible causes of a country mismatch. A changed IP is therefore a reason to establish what happened, rather than automatically infer that another person traded.
Important boundaries remain: do not use a VPN during identity verification, do not use one to bypass geographic restrictions, and check regional platform support. The page specifically says a US IP cannot access MT5 and identifies Match-Trader as the available alternative in that case. That is not a promise that an existing account can be migrated instantly.
Prepare a travel record without overcollecting documents
Before departure, make a short note of the intended dates, destination, account identifiers and platform. Keep legitimate travel evidence available if Maven asks for it. Use the firm's verified support and verification channels, and supply only what is required for the actual request.
You do not need a public folder containing identity documents, tickets and trading credentials. Separating a simple travel note from sensitive documents reduces accidental disclosure. A support conversation can begin with a description of the mismatch; wait for the verified process before uploading personal records.
Do not alter a ticket, invent an itinerary or use a location-masking service to create a preferred verification result. The objective is to explain legitimate access accurately. If your destination's eligibility is unclear, resolve it before trading there rather than attempting to make the connection appear domestic.
Separate ordinary access from the KYC session
| Situation | Practical preparation |
|---|---|
| Switching your own phone and laptop at home | Verify the same account and keep sole control |
| Temporarily traveling abroad | Check destination eligibility, platform support and available travel evidence |
| Starting KYC | Disable VPN/proxy services and use the verified identity flow |
| Unexpected country mismatch | Record the actual connection and contact official support if unresolved |
| MT5 access from a US IP | Resolve platform availability before relying on that setup |
This table is an operational reading of the published policy, not approval for a specific country or individual. A hotel connection, mobile hotspot or corporate network can have different routing from home. The fact that a login succeeds is not proof that every service or account feature is supported there.
For a planned KYC session, allow uninterrupted time and a stable connection. Avoid starting from an unfamiliar shared device. If the process fails, retain the error description without sharing your full document image in an ordinary trading group or public forum.
Fix account details before the first trade
The KYC and checkout instructions require matching account and identity names, the trader's own payment card and one email across that person's Maven accounts. They say name corrections need attention before the first trade because the trading account name becomes fixed afterward.
The same guide requires a physical valid government-issued identity document and a live selfie; a photo displayed on another screen is not a substitute. It also warns that a dashboard can temporarily retain a pending label after document submission or provider approval. Keep submitted, reviewed and account-issued states separate instead of repeatedly restarting solely because a label has not refreshed.
These preparation checks matter even for a low-fee challenge. Passing a trading target does not repair an inaccurate purchase identity. If a legitimate name issue exists, seek the documented correction before taking the action that restricts later changes.
A travel example with two independent decisions
Imagine a trader normally uses MT5 from an eligible home location and plans a short US visit. The first decision is whether the person and intended location satisfy the current service restrictions. The second is whether the purchased platform can be used from the detected US IP.
A favorable answer to the first does not answer the second. The useful support question identifies the existing model and platform, travel dates and the requested supported arrangement. It does not ask how to conceal the destination or route around a platform restriction.
If a supported setup cannot be confirmed, pause the affected plan and review other account obligations separately. Do not assume that permission to travel automatically pauses inactivity, trading or payout clocks. Any exception should be documented by the firm rather than inferred from a general travel paragraph.
Plan KYC timing around the account type
The payout and processing guide puts Standard account KYC after the challenge, while Instant/Mini verification occurs at the payout request. Buy Now, Pay Later also has payout-stage verification. A trip can therefore intersect different verification stages depending on the product.
Record the expected next step, but do not treat an advertised processing period as a guaranteed cash-arrival time. Documents, account review and payment processing are distinct events. Use the actual dashboard and official messages to establish which stage has completed.
AUDIT price examples and redemption
The Standard 2-Step price page publishes the regular fees below. AUDIT's 10% arithmetic leaves 90% of the eligible base payable.
| Plan | Account size | Regular base price (USD) | Coupon code | Discount | Savings (USD) | Final base price if code applies (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard 2-Step | $10K | $44.00 | AUDIT | 10% | $4.40 | $39.60 |
| Standard 2-Step | $50K | $220.00 | AUDIT | 10% | $22.00 | $198.00 |
| Standard 2-Step | $100K | $440.00 | AUDIT | 10% | $44.00 | $396.00 |
Choose the actual model and supported platform, enter AUDIT before payment and check the full order. Do not subtract another 10% from a promotional card already reduced by a named code. Optional services, taxes, conversion and later charges are separate. No fixed expiry is established.
