TradeDay Funded Price-Limit Rules + Promo Code AUDIT
Understand TradeDay funded exchange-limit restrictions, contract checks and evaluation costs with the AUDIT offer.

TradeDay funded traders must stay outside the firm's two-percent proximity restriction around an exchange price limit. This is a market-level restriction, separate from the account's own drawdown. The verified code AUDIT provides 55% off eligible initial evaluation purchase fees.

Two limits that answer different questions
The TradeDay price-limit policy tells funded traders to monitor their contract's percentage net change and the exchange's published limit levels. Breaching the firm's proximity rule can cost the funded account.
Your drawdown threshold measures account equity against a loss floor. An exchange limit controls the permitted movement or trading state of the market itself. A profitable account therefore receives no exemption from the market-level rule.
| Check | What it concerns | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Account loss floor | Remaining permitted account loss | Account risk display |
| Contract price limit | Exchange-defined level for this product and session | Current exchange notice |
| TradeDay proximity rule | Whether funded trading is permitted near that level | Firm policy and platform quote board |
These checks cannot replace one another. An order accepted by the platform is not proof that it complies with every firm policy.
Prepare the correct contract information
Before the session, write down the symbol, expiry and market. A familiar short symbol can still point to a different contract month. Read the current limit information for the instrument you actually intend to trade, rather than copying yesterday's level into today's plan.
The published firm guide discusses index circuit-breaker levels and notes that other products can have different mechanisms. Do not generalize an index schedule to energy or metals. If the relevant limit or the firm's interpretation is unclear, staying flat while obtaining clarification is more defensible than guessing from a chart.
A practical monitoring routine
Keep a quote-board field for percentage net change beside the order-entry window. Record the applicable reference and limit before placing orders. As the market approaches the restricted area, review both open positions and resting orders; a passive order can become active without another click.
This is an operating checklist, not a calculation of a universal safe price. The firm's wording does not justify applying one homemade percentage formula to every contract. Use its stated rule together with the current exchange level and the account's issued instructions.
Evaluation purchase cost versus funded obligations
The current TradeDay catalog lists $131 for Quick Pay Intraday $50K and $175 for Quick Pay EOD $50K. The following applies AUDIT to the initial monthly base payment.
| Plan | Size | Regular price USD | Code | Discount | Savings USD | First payment USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Pay Intraday | $50K | $131.00 | AUDIT | 55% | $72.05 | $58.95 |
| Quick Pay EOD | $50K | $175.00 | AUDIT | 55% | $96.25 | $78.75 |
Later renewals, resets, taxes and optional services are not included in these calculations. Saving on entry does not pay for a breached funded account. Compare the evaluation-to-funded drawdown change separately from exchange limits.
Do not confuse permitted products with unrestricted access
TradeDay's permitted-products policy can restrict products or position sizes independently of market circuit breakers. Its current notice restricts GC, SI, HG and PL and limits specified micro-metal positions. A contract appearing in a platform search therefore does not establish permission to trade it.
A pre-trade record should contain four separate approvals: allowed product, permitted session, permitted position size and distance from the relevant price limit. That structure helps avoid the mistaken conclusion that passing one check clears the other three.
After an alert or trading halt
Do not repeatedly send orders to test access. Review whether orders are working, canceled or rejected, and preserve the timestamp. Before resuming, confirm both the exchange's trading state and the firm's permission. A resumed market does not automatically cancel a firm's tighter restrictions.
