TradeDay Market Data Access Guide + Discount Code AUDIT
Troubleshoot TradeDay data prompts, Tradovate environment, agreement provisioning and delayed symbols before paying for extras; compare AUDIT membership fees.

If Tradovate asks a TradeDay evaluation trader to buy market data, first check the login environment. TradeDay says evaluation data is included and that a purchase prompt can appear when the trader enters Tradovate directly rather than through the TradeDay member area. A separate missing-data issue can involve the data agreement, provisioning or feed selection. Verified code: AUDIT gives 55% off eligible initial evaluation base fees, with later renewals checked separately.

First identify which environment is open
The official Tradovate setup guide directs traders through the Trading Room in TradeDay's member area. It describes the issued TradeDay username with its TD_ prefix and the evaluation/simulation selection, rather than a personal brokerage or another firm's credentials.
The guide says market data is included in the evaluation. A prompt to purchase data can indicate that the wrong environment is open. Check the route and account name before paying for anything. That statement should not be generalized into free access to every optional data product or every later live-account service.
Keep credentials private. A support screenshot can show the account label, environment and error without exposing a password or an authentication code. A written record of which login route was used is often more useful than repeatedly entering details into different pages.
Separate four different symptoms
An empty chart, a delayed quote, a rejected login and a request to purchase data do not necessarily represent the same problem. Record the exact message and the affected product before changing settings. Broadly describing everything as no data can send troubleshooting in the wrong direction.
| Symptom | First question to check |
|---|---|
| A request to buy market data | Am I in the TradeDay-issued environment? |
| Some products update and others are delayed | Is the selected feed correct for those products? |
| Data agreement has not been completed | Is the required agreement still pending? |
| Login rejected | Is this the issued account and the correct official route? |
| Interface slow or disconnected | Is there a platform status incident or a local connection problem? |
The table is a diagnostic map, not a guarantee of the cause. Stop before an unnecessary payment or a speculative change to an account whose state you do not understand.
Check agreement and provisioning status
TradeDay's missing-live-data guide says the market-data agreement needs to be completed. It allows up to five minutes for data assignment after signing, followed by refreshing the trading screen. It also identifies white symbols as live and yellow as delayed in the documented interface, and directs traders to check the feed and permitted product when only some symbols are delayed.
Use those colours as one source-specific clue rather than a substitute for reading current platform status. Interfaces can change, and a market that is closed may not generate new ticks. Verify the actual product, contract month and session before deciding that a still price is a feed failure.
Read agreements and classifications carefully. Do not select a non-professional classification simply because an old screenshot shows it; the trader must determine whether the actual statement is accurate for their situation. This article does not provide legal advice about market-data status.
A practical two-product example
Suppose one chart updates while a second appears delayed. First check whether the symbols are for the intended instruments and current contract months. Then compare the feed selection and each product's eligibility. That approach is more precise than buying another subscription on the assumption that all data is missing.
Now suppose a trader sees a data-purchase prompt after opening a personal Tradovate bookmark. Compare that route with the official member-area launch and the issued account identity. If they differ, establish the correct environment before deciding whether any purchase is necessary. This is a hypothetical troubleshooting example, not a claim that a particular user's account has been fixed.
After correcting a route or completing provisioning, verify both the chart and the account selector before entering an order. A moving chart proves neither that the intended account is selected nor that a new order will meet its position and loss limits.
Preserve evidence when the simple checks do not resolve it
Record the date, time and timezone, affected account reference, product, displayed error and whether other products work. Check the official platform status link described in the setup guide. If there is an incident, preserve the notice rather than repeatedly changing unrelated settings.
When asking TradeDay for help, give the exact symptom and the steps already checked. Avoid sending passwords, full payment details or identity documents in an ordinary troubleshooting message. If additional verification is required, use the official secure process.
Do not continue trading on data you believe is delayed or unreliable merely to test whether an order can be placed. Read-only checks and the firm's supported diagnostic route can establish more without creating a new position. A connection problem does not suspend the account's loss rules or guarantee compensation.
Included access and optional services are different costs
A data service being included with an evaluation does not make every platform extra free. The setup guide separately describes limited Market Replay access and additional history as an optional purchase. Check the exact service and period before approving a charge.
Keep three budget lines: the evaluation membership, any genuinely selected optional service and trading costs. If a purchase prompt was caused by the wrong environment, another subscription may be unnecessary. If the service is a real optional upgrade, the entry coupon does not automatically cover it.
Apply AUDIT only to the eligible membership base
Current official TradeDay plan cards show the following regular $25K references in USD:
| Plan / account size | Regular monthly base price (USD) | Code | Discount on initial base | Savings (USD) | Final base price, initial payment (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Pay Intraday $25K | $100.00 | AUDIT | 55% | $55.00 | $45.00 |
| Fast Pass EOD $25K | $130.00 | AUDIT | 55% | $71.50 | $58.50 |
The public Quick Pay 60% offer can produce $40.00 on the same $100 base, so AUDIT is not always the lowest price. Compare eligibility and the full order without assuming stacking. Membership renews every 30 days until passed or cancelled; continuation of the AUDIT rate is unconfirmed. Resets, optional services, taxes and payment charges remain separate, and no fixed coupon expiry is asserted.
Select the exact route, inspect included services, apply the code and save the initial and next-renewal amounts before paying. Read the TradeDay review and renewal guide. Affiliate disclosure: PFA may earn commission through qualifying purchases. Fees can be lost, simulated balances are not owned cash, and neither working market data nor a coupon guarantees passing, funding or payouts.
