Traders Launch audit summary: Traders Launch is a futures prop firm selling one-time Standard evaluations in $100K, $200K and $300K sizes, plus a cheaper Legacy NYC line restricted to the 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. ET session that the firm plans to phase out. Every account uses a 2% target against a 1% end-of-day drawdown that locks at the starting balance, a 40% evaluation consistency rule, a three-day minimum, a 60-day deadline and a weekly activity rule. Funded accounts have no consistency rule, no payout cap, an 80% split on the standard configuration and daily payout access after the first three-day payout. Coupon code COMPARE gives 20% off Standard and Legacy NYC evaluation fees.

Firm overview and trust check
| Audit item | Finding |
|---|---|
| Market | CME futures; separate Crypto programme not covered here |
| Plans | Standard Futures; Legacy NYC (purchasable, phase-out planned); Premium, Static and Early Access advertised separately |
| Sizes | $100K, $200K, $300K |
| Billing | One-time evaluation fee; no subscription; no activation fee |
| Profit share | 80% on the standard configuration; other share options priced separately |
| Platforms | Quantower, TradingView, Volumetrica |
| Payouts | First after three qualifying days, then daily under buffer conditions; no cap |
| Active account limit | Up to five active accounts per trader |
| Session | Standard about 22 hours per day; Legacy NYC 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. ET |
Traders Launch's marketing leans on large nominal balances. The audit point that matters most is that a $300K account carries only $3,000 of loss room, so the headline size should be read as a position-limit label rather than a measure of risk capital. All balances are simulated.
Plan audit: Standard vs Legacy NYC
| Account | Target | EOD drawdown | Starting position | Session | Target ÷ drawdown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard $100K | $2,000 | $1,000 | 2 minis / 20 micros | 22 hours | 2.0 |
| Standard $200K | $4,000 | $2,000 | 4 minis / 40 micros | 22 hours | 2.0 |
| Standard $300K | $6,000 | $3,000 | 6 minis / 60 micros | 22 hours | 2.0 |
| Legacy NYC $100K | $2,000 | $1,000 | 5 micros | 9:30–4:00 ET | 2.0 |
| Legacy NYC $200K | $3,000 | $1,000 | 1 mini / 10 micros | 9:30–4:00 ET | 3.0 |
| Legacy NYC $300K | $5,000 | $2,000 | 2 minis / 20 micros | 9:30–4:00 ET | 2.5 |
A 2.0 ratio is on the demanding side for the futures prop industry (many one-step evaluations sit at 1.5–2.0), and Legacy NYC $200K at 3.0 is the hardest configuration the firm sells.
Fee audit with COMPARE
| Account (80% share) | Regular | COMPARE 20% | Calculated price | Fee per $1,000 of drawdown |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard $100K | $159 | −$31.80 | $127.20 | $127.20 |
| Standard $200K | $299 | −$59.80 | $239.20 | $119.60 |
| Standard $300K | $599 | −$119.80 | $479.20 | $159.73 |
| Legacy NYC $100K | $99 | −$19.80 | $79.20 | $79.20 |
| Legacy NYC $200K | $149 | −$29.80 | $119.20 | $119.20 |
| Legacy NYC $300K | $279 | −$55.80 | $223.20 | $111.60 |
Audit finding: Standard $200K is the best value per dollar of loss room in the Standard line; Standard $300K costs the most per dollar of drawdown despite being the largest account. Legacy NYC $100K is the cheapest way in but limits the trader to 5 micros and the New York session.
Drawdown audit: 1% EOD and the lock
The drawdown follows the highest end-of-day balance and locks at the starting balance.
| Standard $100K | Closing balance | Floor |
|---|---|---|
| Start | $100,000 | $99,000 |
| Close +$400 | $100,400 | $99,400 |
| Close +$1,000 | $101,000 | $100,000 (locked) |
| Pass at $102,000 | $102,000 | $100,000 |
Because the allowance is 1%, the floor locks after just half the profit target. From that point on, a funded trader who withdraws most of their profit sits a few hundred dollars above the floor; the post-withdrawal cushion is the most important number on a Traders Launch account.
Evaluation constraints: consistency, deadline, activity
| Constraint | Rule |
|---|---|
| Consistency | Best day ≤ 40% of total profit during the evaluation; none when funded |
| Minimum days | 3 |
| Deadline | 60 days from activation |
| Activity | At least one trade per week during the evaluation |
| Reset | Available as a separate charge |
On a $2,000 target, the maximum useful best day is $800. A $1,200 day pushes the required total to $3,000.
Payout audit
| Rule | Funded Traders Launch |
|---|---|
| First payout | After three qualifying days |
| Subsequent payouts | Daily, subject to buffer conditions |
| Consistency | None |
| Cap | None |
| Split | 80% standard configuration |
| Review | Cumulative payout review applies to larger totals |
The absence of a funded consistency rule and payout cap is a strong point. The 1% drawdown with a locked floor is what limits withdrawal size in practice.
Rules that end accounts
- Equity closing below the EOD floor.
- Missing the 60-day deadline or the weekly activity requirement during the evaluation.
- Exceeding the starting contract limit for the account size.
- High-frequency or latency-exploiting strategies; scalping is reviewed against conduct rules.
- Hedging across accounts and coordinated opposing positions.
- Trading outside the permitted session (Legacy NYC) or through the daily close.
- Identity mismatch at onboarding.
Audit verdict
| Category | Score | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing | Strong | $79.20–$479.20 with COMPARE, one-time, no activation fee |
| Funded rules | Strong | No consistency, no cap, daily payouts after first |
| Drawdown | Weak | 1% allowance, locks at half the target |
| Evaluation pressure | Mixed | 40% consistency, 60-day deadline, weekly activity |
| Session access | Mixed | 22 hours on Standard; NYC-only on Legacy |
| Transparency | Mixed | Rules published, but Premium/Static/Early Access lines are less documented |
Traders Launch suits: disciplined intraday futures traders with tight stops who want a cheap one-time evaluation and an unrestricted funded stage.
Look elsewhere if: your strategy needs more than 1% of nominal size in drawdown, you cannot trade weekly, or you want a 90% split without paying for a higher-share configuration.
