Alpha Capital Swap-Free replaces overnight financing with a per-transaction commission and an upfront add-on cost. The documented $5 per lot on entry and $5 per lot on exit makes a one-lot round trip $10. Compare that cost with the swaps your strategy would otherwise incur, while allowing for any spread difference.
Verified codes: COMPARE50 for 50% off a qualifying first purchase; COMPARE for 30% off qualifying later purchases. These are alternative Alpha Capital Forex/CFD offers verified by Yash R. They do not combine. Current coupon conditions and official sources were checked 8 October 2026; no checkout or trading test is claimed.

Check whether the add-on fits the strategy
The official add-on guide makes Swap-Free available on MT5 for Alpha One and Alpha Pro. It must be chosen at purchase and cannot be added to an existing account afterwards. The guide places its price at approximately 10% of the base plan fee, so the exact order amount should be recorded rather than inferred from a rounded percentage.
The change also puts the account on Standard spreads and disables EAs. These are material conditions for an automated strategy or one whose historical results depend on a particular spread profile. A lower overnight charge has little value if the account configuration cannot run the intended method.
The official Swap-Free explainer confirms that the upgrade does not add weekend-holding permission. Qualified Pro accounts remain subject to their holding restrictions. The add-on list does not include Swing or Direct. The current rules overview says Alpha Three is not currently offered for new purchases, so older comparisons should not be treated as current availability.
Count round-trip lots correctly
The commission is charged in both directions. A trade with one lot opened and then fully closed creates two one-lot transactions. If five separate 0.20-lot positions each open and close, their total round-trip volume is one lot, producing the same $10 arithmetic under this rate.
| Illustrative completed round-trip volume | Entry commission | Exit commission | Total at the stated rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.25 lots | $1.25 | $1.25 | $2.50 |
| 1.00 lot | $5.00 | $5.00 | $10.00 |
| 5.00 lots | $25.00 | $25.00 | $50.00 |
Partial closes should be reconciled by executed volume. Opening one lot and closing it in two half-lot fills still closes one lot in total. Avoid counting every partial ticket as a full lot or charging the entry twice merely because the platform shows more than one exit row.
Build a like-for-like cost comparison
A useful comparison has four components: the incremental upfront add-on cost, the change in commissions, the change in spread cost and the net swaps avoided. Use the same instruments, directions, sizes and holding periods on both sides. A low-volume overnight strategy and a high-volume intraday strategy can produce very different results.
For planning purposes, write:
Estimated benefit = net swaps avoided minus additional commissions minus any extra spread cost minus incremental upfront cost.
This is a comparison method, not a prediction of returns. Use the ordinary account's actual commission schedule when calculating the incremental commission. Do not assume the entire $10 is an increase if the comparison account already charges a commission. Likewise, a positive swap credit on an ordinary account should not be recorded as a cost saved by removing it.
An example of the break-even decision
Assume, purely for illustration, that the selected add-on costs an extra $20 after all order adjustments. Suppose ten one-lot round trips would incur $100 of Swap-Free commissions, and the comparison account would incur $40 of commissions. The incremental commission is $60. If spread differences are estimated at another $10, total incremental cost is $90 including the upfront $20.
| Hypothetical net swaps avoided | Incremental costs in this example | Estimated cost advantage |
|---|---|---|
| $50 | $90 | Minus $40 |
| $90 | $90 | $0 |
| $140 | $90 | Plus $50 |
The numbers other than the published Swap-Free transaction rate are assumptions, not quoted Alpha charges. At these assumptions the break-even amount of swaps avoided is $90. Fewer overnight holds, a different direction mix or more traded volume can reverse the result.
Do not keep a position open simply to make the add-on appear worthwhile. The trade's risk and the account rules still control the decision. Costs are one part of strategy fit, and no savings calculation guarantees a profitable evaluation.
Review the entry fee with the correct code
The official add-on document uses a $177 base price for Pro $25K 8% On-Demand, also present in the current plan selector. Applied to that base alone, the two verified codes produce different eligible-purchase totals.
| Account type | Account size | Purchase scenario | Regular base price (USD) | Coupon code | Discount | Savings (USD) | Final base price (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha Pro 8% On-Demand | $25,000 | Qualifying first purchase | $177.00 | COMPARE50 | 50% | $88.50 | $88.50 |
| Alpha Pro 8% On-Demand | $25,000 | Qualifying later purchase | $177.00 | COMPARE | 30% | $53.10 | $123.90 |
These rows exclude Swap-Free and the separate 90% performance-share upgrade. The official $18 example refers specifically to the 90% share add-on, so it should not be relabelled as an exact Swap-Free quote. Coupon coverage of either option is unconfirmed here. Check the full configured order rather than taking 50% or 30% off an assumed bundle.
Save a configuration and cost record
Before buying, record the model, target variant, size, payout schedule, MT5 platform, chosen add-ons and whether this is a qualifying first or later purchase. Check the EA restriction and holding permission before paying for a feature the strategy cannot use.
Enter COMPARE50 or COMPARE, as appropriate, and confirm the accepted reduction on the eligible component. Review separately priced options, tax, conversion and payment charges. No stacking or fixed expiry is established. Save the receipt and the rule versions relevant to the configured account.
Once trading begins, compare statements with the assumptions used in the worksheet. Reconcile lots, each-side commission and any unexpected charge before projecting a whole month's costs. An estimate that depends on a missing rate should remain provisional until that rate is confirmed.
For wider account context, see the Alpha Capital review. Prop Firm Audit may earn affiliate commissions. These accounts operate in a simulated environment; fees can be lost and performance fees depend on compliant results. Swap-Free is most usefully assessed as a complete execution-cost and compatibility choice, alongside the exact coupon scope.
