Alpha Capital Trade Duration + Promo Code COMPARE50 / COMPARE

Alpha Capital's trade-duration rule is more than an average: most trades and the average duration must exceed two minutes, with a separate profit-contribution requirement for longer trades. PFA lists COMPARE50 for 50% off the first purchase and COMPARE for 30% off later purchases. Neither offer waives trading-conduct checks.

Verified on 12 October 2026. Verified codes: COMPARE50 for qualifying first purchases; COMPARE for qualifying later purchases.

Official rules checked 5 October 2026. This guide focuses on duration compliance, rather than the Alpha Pro payout-schedule decision.

Three checks belong in the journal

The official duration policy requires an average above two minutes and says the majority must also exceed two minutes. It separately assesses profit generated by short trades. The policy applies to all accounts and states different remediation for evaluation and qualified stages.

Do not conclude that one long trade automatically cures many short trades. A mean can be lifted by an outlier without changing the majority. Likewise, meeting a duration average says nothing about where the profit came from. Record trade count, total duration and the relevant profit contribution independently.

Example one: a long outlier does not establish a majority

Imagine ten completed trades: nine lasting one minute and one lasting twenty minutes. Total duration is 29 minutes, so the average is 2.9 minutes. But only one of ten exceeded two minutes. That ledger demonstrates why a dashboard average alone is not the full test.

Now imagine six trades lasting four minutes and four lasting thirty seconds. Total duration is 26 minutes; the average is 2.6 minutes, and six trades exceed two minutes. Those time statistics satisfy the illustrated timing tests, but profit contribution must still be examined.

Illustrative ledgerAverage durationTrades over two minutesTiming issue
Nine 1-minute, one 20-minute2.9 minutes1 of 10Majority condition fails
Six 4-minute, four 30-second2.6 minutes6 of 10Still assess profit contribution
Six 3-minute, four 30-second2.0 minutes6 of 10Average is not greater than two

These examples describe arithmetic, not an invitation to prolong losing positions or manufacture harmless-looking trades. Risk management should never be abandoned merely to make a clock statistic look better.

Example two: profit concentration can still cause a problem

Suppose the second ledger produces $1,000 of relevant profit: $650 from short trades and $350 from longer trades. The duration average looks acceptable, but the short trades account for 65%. The policy's profit contribution test can therefore fail independently.

Alpha Capital's wording distinguishes total targeted evaluation profit from gross generated profit above initial balance on qualified accounts, and includes short trades made while below initial balance. Reconcile those definitions against the account metrics rather than substituting gross winning tickets for the stated denominator. If a report omits trades taken during recovery, its calculation may be incomplete.

A practical review worksheet

Export completed-trade timestamps and calculate elapsed time consistently. Retain the complete account history, including losing and recovery periods. Compare the computed average with Account Metrics and the Insights tab, which the firm identifies as the relevant dashboard location.

Where partial positions or reporting conventions produce a discrepancy, ask the firm how its metric groups the records. Do not delete inconvenient rows or infer that a passing average guarantees approval. A self-check is useful preparation; the account review still applies the agreement.

The account's loss and exposure rules still matter

For context, the Alpha Pro 8%/10% guide lists separate phase targets, loss limits and size-based maximum lot exposure. Duration compliance does not authorize excess leverage or lot size. On a strategy worksheet, trade duration should sit alongside exposure and loss controls rather than replace them.

A clock-based requirement can be a poor fit for a strategy that naturally exits within seconds. Evaluate that fit before paying for an assessment. Do not redesign a trading system around arbitrary delays without testing the consequences in a practice environment.

First-purchase and later-purchase fee scope

The active Alpha Capital coupon keeps the two scopes separate. Current official-page text did not expose an attributable regular price for a chosen configuration, so this guide does not re-label yesterday's selector price as newly verified.
