Quick answer
Breakout Prop Spark updates its $1,500 trailing loss floor once daily at 00:30 UTC using the closed balance at that reset. The floor is enforced against equity, so an open loss can breach it between resets. Keep the balance used for the calculation separate from the live equity used for enforcement.
Coupon verification recorded on 13 October 2026. Code: COMPARE. Listed offer: 5% off the recorded Classic, Pro and Turbo evaluation fees. Verification covers Prop Firm Audit's current active coupon record; it does not establish Spark coverage.
What the official drawdown rule says
The Spark maximum-drawdown guide specifies a highest closed-balance reference, daily recalculation and ongoing trailing after funding. Its breach consequence is account forfeiture; the guide does not offer an account reset.
This differs from the standard products' static maximum-loss method. A number visible on a standard account should not be pasted into a Spark risk sheet.
Keep three figures in the same record
| Figure | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Qualifying closed-balance high-water mark | Reference for the next loss-floor calculation |
| Active loss floor | Current account boundary |
| Live equity | Value tested against that boundary |
For illustration, assume the last qualifying high-water mark is $50,800. Subtracting $1,500 produces an active floor of $49,300.
If live equity is $50,100, remaining room is $800. If equity falls to $49,350, only $50 remains before the boundary, even if an open position has not been closed.
The comparison is to the active floor, not to the initial $50,000 label.
A worked sequence across resets
The following figures are illustrative qualifying reset balances.
| Reset observation | Closed balance | Highest qualifying balance | New floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start | $50,000 | $50,000 | $48,500 |
| Next reset | $50,800 | $50,800 | $49,300 |
| Later reset | $50,500 | $50,800 | $49,300 |
| New high | $51,600 | $51,600 | $50,100 |
A lower closed balance does not lower the high-water mark. Once the floor rises, giving profit back reduces the space above it.
An intraday floating gain is not the same as the closed balance captured at the reset. Record the reset value from the account rather than estimating it from the highest candle on your chart.
Convert the reset to your clock correctly
00:30 UTC is 06:00 in India, whose UTC+5:30 offset has no seasonal clock change. For another location, use its offset on the trading date.
The conversion is a scheduling aid. It does not change the product's official UTC reset. An overnight position can remain open when the new floor is calculated, so compare its live equity with that updated boundary.
Set your own risk budget below the remaining room, allowing for costs and execution differences. A stop order is a planned exit and can fill differently from the requested price.
Standard purchase alternative and coupon
For a standard Pro $25,000 evaluation, the official pricing table lists a $150 regular base fee. The recorded COMPARE 5% calculation is $142.50, saving $7.50. That is a standard Pro example, not a Spark price or reset fee.
Use COMPARE in the official standard-account purchase flow before payment. The coupon lowers the listed entry fee; it does not move a drawdown floor.
Read the coupon record, firm review and Spark versus Classic comparison. Preserve the purchase terms and each daily boundary in your account notes.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
The official rule says once daily at 00:30 UTC, using the closed balance as of that reset.
Yes. The active floor is enforced against equity, which includes open profit and loss.
The official Spark drawdown guide says the trail continues for the life of the account, including the funded stage.
COMPARE and the listed 5% standard evaluation offer were checked against the active PFA record on 13 October 2026. Spark coupon coverage is not established by that record.
