FundingPips 2 Step Standard is sold in two daily-loss configurations: a 3% daily loss limit with no minimum trading days, or a 5% daily loss limit with three minimum trading days per phase. The 3% build is cheaper; the 5% build gives more intraday room but requires three days in each phase. Both share the 8% then 5% targets and the 10% static maximum loss, and both qualify for coupon code AUDIT at 10% off.
This guide audits the configuration choice from FundingPips' official 2 Step Standard model guide, reviewed on 1 November 2026, with worked examples at $100K and a decision method. Reference prices recorded by third-party trackers in October 2026 were $544 (3% build) and $652 (5% build) at $100K; confirm the configured fee at checkout.

The two configurations
| Setting | 3% build | 5% build |
|---|---|---|
| Daily loss limit | 3% of baseline | 5% of baseline |
| Minimum trading days | 0 | 3 per phase |
| Targets | 8% then 5% | 8% then 5% |
| Maximum loss | 10% static | 10% static |
| Reference price at $100K | $544 | $652 |
| With AUDIT | $489.60 | $586.80 |
Price difference with AUDIT
The 5% build costs about 20% more at $100K ($97.20 more after AUDIT). The premium buys $2,000 of additional daily room and nothing else; it also adds a six-day minimum across the two phases.
What 3% vs 5% means in dollars
| Account | 3% daily floor (flat baseline) | 5% daily floor | Maximum loss floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $24,250 | $23,750 | $22,500 |
| $50K | $48,500 | $47,500 | $45,000 |
| $100K | $97,000 | $95,000 | $90,000 |
On the 3% build, a $100K account can lose $3,000 in a day and $10,000 overall: the daily limit binds after three equal losing days out of roughly 3.3. On the 5% build, two 5% days ($10,000) breach the maximum: the daily limit is almost irrelevant and the maximum loss binds.
Minimum days: 0 vs 3 per phase
- 3% build: both phases can be passed in a single day each, subject to the Profit Concentration Policy (one trade idea over 60% of a phase target on $25K+ accounts adds four profitable-day requirements per Master reward).
- 5% build: three trading days per phase; a trade must be opened and closed on each counted day.
A trader who needs the 5% room usually also needs more than three days, so the minimum rarely binds on that build. A trader on the 3% build who passes in one day should check the Profit Concentration consequence before celebrating.
The equity-based daily baseline
Both builds set the floor from the higher of opening balance or opening equity.
| Build | Opening balance | Opening equity | Floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3% | $100,000 | $102,000 | $98,940 |
| 5% | $100,000 | $102,000 | $96,900 |
Which build fits which trader
| Choose 3% if | Choose 5% if |
|---|---|
| Average losing day is under 1.5% | Losing days regularly exceed 2% |
| You want a one-day pass to be possible | You hold volatile positions through sessions |
| Price matters more than intraday room | You would rather pay for room than add a personal stop |
| You already use a personal 1–2% daily stop | Your edge needs wide intraday swings |
Audit view: most disciplined day traders are better served by the 3% build plus a self-imposed daily stop, saving about $97 after AUDIT. Swing-style traders who hold through drawdown inside a session should pay for 5%.
Reward routes are the same on both
Both builds reach the same Master Account with the same reward choices: 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 100% monthly or 90% on demand, each with its own conditions. The daily-loss setting carries into the Master Account; see the striking system guide for Master controls above $25K.
