Maven Weekend Holding Cost Guide + Promo Code AUDIT

Maven permits weekend holding and advertises zero swaps, but that does not make an open position costless or protected from a gap. Separate the fee to buy the account from the costs and loss exposure of holding a trade. This guide covers Forex/CFD accounts, not Maven’s prediction-market products.

Verified code: AUDIT. AUDIT gives 10% off applicable Maven base purchase fees. It does not discount trading commissions or erase execution costs. Read the current coupon terms.

Read the cost statement in separate parts

The official Maven FAQ permits weekend holdings and states zero swap fees across accounts. Its commission section lists $4 round trip in the general row and $6 round trip for precious metals and energy, with variable spreads. It also lists zero-commission categories including indices and commodities, so the exact platform symbol classification should be checked rather than assuming every broadly described commodity has the same charge.

For a weekend trade, the useful question is not just whether a financing line will appear. Record the opening and closing spread, commission entries, any price gap and the account’s remaining loss room. Different cost types show up in different parts of the trade record. A zero in one field does not explain the net result by itself.

A holding-cost ledger that can be reconciled

Use one row per position, not one row per weekend. Include instrument, size, entry time, entry fill, intended exit, actual exit, gross result and each fee line. Add a notes field for any reopening gap or abnormal spread. That gives you a reproducible net result instead of a vague impression that the market moved in your favor.

Hypothetical single-position exampleAmount
Gross price-move profit$45.00
Commission charged in the example$4.00
Swap charged under the stated zero-swap policy$0.00
Net after those recorded charges$41.00

The $4 here is an assumed actual charge on the example statement, not a promise that every size or symbol pays $4. If the statement instead showed $6, the net would be $39. Spreads are already reflected in actual entry and exit fills; do not subtract the same spread a second time when reconciling a profit figure computed from those fills.

This distinction is important when comparing a chart-based backtest with a platform statement. A theoretical mid-price move is not the same thing as executable entry-to-exit profit. Label which one is in the worksheet before comparing costs.

Permission to hold does not determine the reopening price

An open position can encounter a different price after a market break. A stop is an instruction under the platform’s execution rules, not a universal guarantee that every exit occurs at the selected level. Weekend permission answers whether the account allows the holding behavior; it does not answer how the market will reopen.

Consider a hypothetical position with $100 of planned loss at its intended stop. If the actual execution creates $145 of price loss and another $5 of recorded charges, the realized reduction is $150. This is a stress example, not a predicted gap or a Maven fill claim. Its purpose is to show why an account operating very close to a loss boundary may have little room for execution uncertainty.

Review all open positions together. Several instruments exposed to the same theme can move adversely at once. A weekend decision should include combined monetary exposure, not just whether each individual ticket has a stop. Reducing a correlated cluster may matter more than saving a small purchase fee.

Keep the trading calendar separate from the account clock

Weekend holding permission does not make every instrument available for new orders continuously. Check the selected symbol’s trading session and scheduled maintenance. An always-open product described elsewhere on the site should not be used to infer that every FX pair or index has the same hours.

The FAQ also limits inactivity to 30 calendar days without executed trades. A long-held position and a new execution are different records, so ask how your particular holding pattern interacts with the activity clock if that matters. Do not rely on merely logging into the dashboard.

For event-time restrictions, use the PFA Maven news auto-close guide. Weekend permission does not resolve whether an entry, take-profit or other close occurs inside a restricted news window on the relevant model.

What AUDIT saves on current Standard entry fees

The official Maven price page identifies these Standard 1-Step regular base fees. The calculated amounts use 10% off the regular price, not another reduction of the rounded public promotional display.

Forex modelSizeRegular USDCodeDiscountSavings USDCalculated entry USD
Standard 1-Step$2K$15.00AUDIT10%$1.50$13.50
Standard 1-Step$5K$19.00AUDIT10%$1.90$17.10
Standard 1-Step$10K$37.00AUDIT10%$3.70$33.30

Optional items, taxes and later charges are excluded. These entry savings should be kept outside the trading P&L statement. Adding a purchase discount to trading profit can make a strategy appear more profitable without changing its actual execution results.

For example, a $3.70 entry saving on the shown $10K configuration does not offset every future commission. It is one acquisition-cost reduction. A strategy that repeatedly incurs costs needs a separate estimate based on actual frequency, instrument and traded size.

A practical Friday review

Before the relevant market closes, identify each open position’s reason for remaining open, the next session opening, scheduled events, the current account loss boundaries and the worst loss you are prepared to accept. If the trading thesis no longer holds, weekend permission is not a reason by itself to keep the position.

After reopening, reconcile actual fills and charges instead of assuming the plan played out. Record a difference between expected and actual execution as useful data. Avoid changing the account’s risk budget to make one disappointing trade disappear from the review.

If the product’s published commission categories appear inconsistent with the platform, ask for the exact symbol specification before increasing activity. The practical result is a cost ledger you can check, not a claim that zero swaps makes any holding period or trading style automatically suitable.

Redeem the offer after checking the account

  1. Open the official Maven Trading website and select the intended Forex/CFD model, account size and platform.
  2. Read the rules for that exact configuration and confirm regional eligibility before purchasing.
  3. Enter the applicable code before payment. Use one promotion; do not assume it stacks with a displayed sale.
  4. Check the eligible base fee, applied saving, optional extras, tax and full order total. Later activation, reset or renewal charges are separate unless explicitly included.
  5. Save the receipt, account terms and any written clarification relevant to your setup.
