TradeDay quotes trading commissions per contract, per side. A completed entry and exit therefore normally uses two charged sides for each contract. Keep those execution costs inside the trading ledger when checking target progress; the evaluation purchase payment belongs in a separate cash-spending record.
Verified code: AUDIT gives 55% off eligible initial TradeDay evaluation fees. It does not establish a reduction in trading commissions, resets or later renewals. Official prices and rules checked: 10 October 2026.

Start with the fee unit
The official commission schedule lists rates per side, including brokerage, NFA, clearing and exchange components. It shows ES at $2.88 and MES at $0.95. The page says simulated commissions count in evaluation and Funded Sim results, with possible differences after moving to Funded Live.
| Instrument | Published fee per contract per side | Calculated complete round turn |
|---|---|---|
| ES | $2.88 | $5.76 |
| MES | $0.95 | $1.90 |
For an illustrative session completing 12 one-contract ES round turns, commission is 12 multiplied by $5.76, or $69.12. If gross trading profit is $420, net trading profit is $350.88 before any other applicable adjustments. Count contracts and executions, rather than the number of order-ticket windows opened.
Reconcile partial exits as contract-sides
Suppose an invented trade enters three contracts together, exits one at a first target and exits two later. The ledger contains three entry contract-sides and three exit contract-sides. Splitting the exit into two tickets does not turn three round turns into only two charged contracts.
A spreadsheet can carry one row per fill with these fields:
- Account identifier and trading date
- Symbol and contract month
- Execution identifier and timestamp
- Buy or sell, quantity and fill price
- Commission debit from the account statement
- Strategy label and a link to the original trade record
Sum the actual debits, then reconcile the total with the platform statement. A canceled unfilled order should not be counted as a completed round turn in your planning model. When one ticket fills in several pieces, retain the fill records instead of replacing them with an unsupported estimate.
This is a bookkeeping workflow, not an extra TradeDay qualification rule. Its value is that it makes an unexpected daily total explainable. Do not add a second estimated fee on top of a statement that already reports results net of commission.
Target progress uses the net result
The official profit-target explanation says the objective uses gross profit less simulated commissions. Its $50K example requires the account balance to reach $53,000 for a $3,000 target. Reaching a gross-performance headline alone does not establish that balance.
Consider a separate hypothetical ledger with $3,040 gross cumulative profit and $115 in total commission. Net cumulative profit is $2,925, so the account is $75 short of a $3,000 net objective. That conclusion does not require a prediction of the next trade. It is simply a reconciliation between the gross report and the account balance.
Avoid treating the shortfall as a reason to force another entry. First confirm that all trades are closed, the report has updated, the selected account is correct and no cash adjustment is missing. Target, minimum-day and consistency requirements are separate checks. The TradeDay consistency guide addresses the largest-day condition.
Keep purchase cost out of the simulated balance calculation
Imagine paying $58.95 for an evaluation and later seeing $350.88 in net simulated trading profit. The evaluation payment belongs in your personal spending ledger. Do not automatically subtract it again from the displayed account result unless the statement actually posts it there.
For personal budgeting, it is reasonable to track purchase payments, optional services and any subsequent attempts. Label that measure as cash spent on participation. It answers a different question from whether the simulated trading balance satisfies the program objective.
Current evaluation prices with AUDIT
These USD bases are displayed on the official TradeDay storefront. Each row applies 55% to the regular initial membership fee. The site also advertises its own promotions, which can produce a different or lower total; these calculations do not stack them.
| Plan | Account size | Regular price | Code | Discount | Savings | Final price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Pay Intraday, initial membership | $25,000 | $100.00 | AUDIT | 55% | $55.00 | $45.00 |
| Quick Pay Intraday, initial membership | $50,000 | $131.00 | AUDIT | 55% | $72.05 | $58.95 |
| Fast Pass EOD, initial membership | $50,000 | $189.00 | AUDIT | 55% | $103.95 | $85.05 |
These are recurring memberships until the applicable passing or cancellation condition is met. The table describes the initial discounted payment, not a guaranteed renewal rate.
- Open the official TradeDay site and select the plan, size and drawdown configuration.
- Review the regular initial fee, next billing amount and account rules.
- Enter AUDIT before payment and apply the code.
- Confirm the accepted reduction and final total, keeping the order receipt and issued terms. See the current AUDIT coupon page for offer boundaries.
What to do when a statement does not match
Compare the same account, time zone and reporting period first. Then check whether one report includes open profit, whether fees are separate or already netted, and whether a partial exit crossed the reporting cutoff. Retain the execution export rather than editing source rows to force agreement.
If the difference remains, give official support the affected date, account identifier and relevant execution references. Ask which commission schedule and accounting treatment applies to that stage. Never send passwords. The TradeDay review provides broader account context.
