Breakout Prop Trading-Cost Ledger + Coupon Code COMPARE

A Breakout Prop evaluation’s price-only trading result can differ materially from its account result once entry commissions, exit commissions and financing are included. Reconcile those charges against Cash Movements before diagnosing a balance discrepancy or estimating remaining loss room. This guide concerns the established Classic, Pro and Turbo products.

Verified code: COMPARE gives the listed 5% reduction on eligible Breakout Prop evaluation fees. See PFA coupon record for offer terms. It does not discount trading commissions or financing. Official sources checked: 10 October 2026.

First identify the terminal and product

The official Symbols page distinguishes Classic, Pro and Turbo from Spark. For the established products it lists 0.04% trading fees and a 0.033% daily financing rate on position notional. It differentiates the older DXtrade daily schedule from financing deductions every four hours on Breakout Terminal.

Read the platform-transition notice if handling a legacy account. Record the actual terminal instead of inferring it from the account’s product name alone.

There is a documentation difference to preserve: the evaluation-fee FAQ still describes midnight position observation and a 00:25 UTC debit. Use the terminal-specific Symbols and Program Rules explanation for the schedule, and ask support if the actual history differs.

Calculate each commission from its own execution

The Program Rules describe a 0.04% commission on each side, based on notional value. In decimal form, the rate is 0.0004. Calculate the entry using entry notional and the exit using exit notional; the two notionals need not be identical.

Suppose a hypothetical position opens with $20,000 notional and closes with $20,400 notional. The simplified price gain is $400. Entry commission is $20,000 × 0.0004 = $8. Exit commission is $20,400 × 0.0004 = $8.16. The combined commission is $16.16, leaving $383.84 before financing and other execution effects.

Hypothetical ledger itemAmount
Price-only gain$400.00
Entry commission-$8.00
Exit commission-$8.16
Result after these commissions$383.84

Using a flat $16 round-trip estimate would undercount this example by $0.16. The difference is small here, but the method matters when size changes, exits are split or many trades are combined. Use actual fill values wherever possible.

Financing depends on the recorded exposure

For Breakout Terminal, the Program Rules divide the stated daily financing rate across six four-hour intervals, approximately 0.0055% each. A constant hypothetical $20,000 position would imply about $1.10 per assessed interval, or $6.60 across all six.

That is a constant-notional illustration. Real notional can change with market prices and position reductions, and a position may span only some charging intervals. Do not infer a fee solely by multiplying the number of clock hours held by a daily amount. Reconcile the actual assessment timestamps and amounts in the history.

Keep a separate row for every posted financing debit. Record the account, symbol, position identifier, assessment time and amount. If a charge cannot be matched, preserve it as an unresolved entry rather than deleting it to make the total fit a forecast.

Avoid counting charges twice

Some performance exports show a trade result already net of certain fees, while a cash-movement view lists the same charges separately. Before subtracting them again, inspect what each field means.

A useful reconciliation has three stages: starting balance, realized trading adjustments and ending balance. Add each actual balance-changing item once. Floating P&L belongs in a separate equity reconciliation until it becomes realized. A ledger that mixes balance and equity will appear wrong whenever an open position moves.

For example, if the trade-history field already shows the $383.84 result above after commissions, subtracting another $16.16 would create a fictitious $367.68 result. The correction is to label the field’s scope, not to change the official cash entries.

Explain a discrepancy with evidence

Before contacting support, identify whether the difference comes from a missing exit fill, a financing debit, a timezone conversion, rounding or an open position. Keep the original export and write the expected calculation beside it.

A concise factual question contains the account identifier, trade or movement references, terminal, timestamps, amounts and the unexplained difference. Do not include login credentials. This gives support something reproducible to inspect rather than a general claim that a profit total is wrong.

For entry-state issues, read the partial-entry guide. For reducing an existing position, use the partial-exit guide. Those concern execution state; this article reconciles the resulting account costs.

Keep purchase fees outside the trading ledger

The official pricing page lists these one-time USD standard-share base fees. Apply COMPARE once to an accepted regular fee.

PlanAccount sizeRegular priceCodeDiscountSavingsConditional final base price

1-Step Turbo$10,000$40.00COMPARE5%$2.00$38.00

These exclude split upgrades, taxes and separate payment charges. They do not price Spark or establish its availability. A purchase saving belongs in the personal spending record; simulated trading charges belong in the account-performance record.

  1. Open the official pricing page and select Classic, Pro or Turbo with the exact size and share.
  2. Review current symbol costs, account rules and the selected terminal.
  3. Enter COMPARE before payment and confirm the eligible 5% base reduction without stacking another offer.
  4. Check the complete total and save the receipt and issued agreement.
