TradeDay Mini and Micro Position Limits + Coupon Code AUDIT

Verified on 12 October 2026.

TradeDay allows standard and micro contracts to be combined within the account’s equivalent position allowance, but a separate 50-micro ceiling can bind before the larger account’s standard-contract limit. Check the product-specific restrictions too. Verified code: AUDIT provides the owner-attested 55% reduction on eligible initial evaluation fees recorded by PFA. It changes the purchase charge, not your permitted exposure.

Fact check: 7 October 2026. This guide reviews published rules and calculations; it does not claim a checkout purchase or firsthand trading test. The current coupon record governs the listed offer scope.

Start with the correct account allowance

TradeDay’s current Quick Pay guide publishes the following evaluation limits. These are ceilings, not suggested position sizes or statements of affordable risk.

Quick Pay evaluation sizeStandard-contract ceilingPublished micro ceiling
$25K220
$50K550
$100K1050
$150K1550

The 100K and 150K rows are particularly easy to misread. Multiplying every standard-contract allowance by ten would produce 100 and 150 micros, which exceeds the published cap. Read the actual micro column instead of deriving a larger allowance from the nominal balance.

Record the account model, stage and live dashboard limit before the session. A table describing an evaluation should not override an issued live account’s controls or a later risk adjustment. Compare the full TradeDay review when choosing between Quick Pay and Fast Pass.

Apply two checks to a mixed position

The official position-limit guide permits mixing standard contracts and micros within the equivalent allowance and separately limits micros to 50. For an ordinary ten-to-one equivalent pair, a useful worksheet is:

Equivalent contracts = standard contracts + micro contracts ÷ 10

Then check the actual number of micros independently. Passing the first calculation does not make the second check unnecessary. Product-specific counting can differ, so use this arithmetic only where the firm applies the ordinary equivalence.

Illustrative position on a 5-contract / 50-micro accountEquivalent sizeSize-check result
2 standard + 20 micros4Within both ceilings
4 standard + 10 micros5At the equivalent ceiling
4 standard + 20 micros6Exceeds the equivalent ceiling
0 standard + 50 micros5At both ceilings

These examples isolate the count. They do not approve a strategy, a hedge, an instrument or the risk of a particular trade. Positions across different symbols still need a complete account-level review; do not look at one chart and forget the exposure displayed in another window.

Product permission is a separate gate

The permitted-products page includes restrictions that are more specific than the general allowance. Its published temporary metals notice restricts GC, SI, HG and PL and lists a four-lot cap for MGC and SIL on the named 50K, 100K and 150K tiers. The page says the notice applies to simulated and live accounts until further notice.

Do not silently extend the notice’s tier list to a newer 25K configuration, or infer that the absence of a tier gives permission. Ask TradeDay to confirm the product and tier if the current account documentation does not resolve it. The page also flags product-counting details, which is another reason to avoid treating every symbol containing “micro” identically.

A practical order of checks is product permission first, product cap second, account equivalent allowance third, and your own smaller risk budget last. A generous account limit cannot override a restricted product.

Check the order’s possible filled quantity

An exposure check should include what could happen after the next order fills. Suppose two contracts are already open and two separate working entries each add two more. Looking only at the current two-contract position understates the potential six-contract position. Review pending orders and any automated bracket or scale-in instruction before adding another entry.

This is an operational planning example, not a claim that TradeDay counts every pending order as an open position. The point is to avoid discovering an excessive filled position after the event. Cancel unused entries deliberately and confirm the platform has acknowledged the cancellation.

Likewise, a partial exit can leave a small residual position. Reconcile filled quantity, remaining quantity and working orders rather than assuming that pressing “close” produced a flat account. If several screens are connected, use the account-level position view as the final check.

Size compliance and dollar risk are different calculations

A position can fit the contract allowance and still consume an unsuitable amount of the remaining drawdown. Compute the planned loss using the exact contract’s tick value, stop distance and quantity, then allow for commissions and possible execution differences. The official product page provides contract specifications, but a stop order does not promise a particular fill in a moving market.

For an arithmetic-only example, if a chosen contract has a $1.25 tick value, eight ticks of planned risk on ten contracts equals $100 before costs. Doubling the quantity doubles that planned exposure even when both quantities fit the account ceiling. The coupon saving is unrelated to this calculation and cannot be added to the account’s trading cushion.

The official website currently advertises other promotions too. Compare the complete order totals without combining rates or applying AUDIT to an already discounted amount unless the order explicitly allows it. No fixed expiry is asserted here.

  1. Open TradeDay’s official site.
  2. Select the model, size and drawdown option.
  3. Check the specific contract allowance and intended products.
  4. Enter AUDIT before payment and inspect the eligible fee reduction.
  5. Save the receipt and account-specific rules.

Read the funded price-limit checklist for a different restriction that can stop otherwise permitted trading. Affiliate disclosure: PFA may earn commission from qualifying purchases through links or codes. Evaluation fees can be lost; simulated balances are not money owned by the trader, and no position-sizing process guarantees a payout.
