Sizing 2 minis against $1,000
Two ES minis move $100 per point combined. The $1,000 allowance is a 10-point adverse move on full size, or 20 points on one mini. Two MNQ-style micro-equivalents at 20 micros move $40 per NQ point, so 25 points consumes the allowance.
| Size | Loss per point | Points to breach from start |
|---|---|---|
| 2 ES minis | $100 | 10 |
| 1 ES mini | $50 | 20 |
| 10 MES micros | $50 | 20 |
| 20 MNQ micros | $40 | 25 |
A 0.5% risk-per-trade model is $500, two full stops from a breach. Most traders who pass this account risk $150–$250 per trade.
EOD drawdown to the lock
| Closing balance | Floor | Room at close |
|---|---|---|
| $100,000 | $99,000 | $1,000 |
| $100,500 | $99,500 | $1,000 |
| $101,000 | $100,000 (locked) | $1,000 |
| $101,600 | $100,000 | $1,600 |
| $102,000 (target) | $100,000 | $2,000 |
The floor locks halfway to the target. Intraday peaks do not move it; a close is what counts.
Consistency, deadline and activity
- 40% rule: on a $2,000 target the useful best day is $800. A $1,000 day requires $2,500 total.
- Three days: the target cannot be completed in fewer than three trading days.
- 60 days: the account expires if the target is not reached; a reset is a separate purchase.
- Weekly activity: at least one trade every week, or the account can be closed before the deadline.
See the 60-day deadline guide and the 40% consistency calculator.
Funded payouts
| Rule | Funded Standard $100K |
|---|---|
| First payout | After three qualifying days |
| Then | Daily, subject to buffer conditions |
| Consistency | None |
| Cap | None |
| Split | 80% |
With the floor locked at $100,000, a funded balance of $102,500 has $2,500 of room. Withdrawing $2,000 leaves $500: five ES points on two minis. Keep the post-withdrawal cushion in the plan; see the withdrawal cushion guide.
